A Mao Ning: The Belt and Road Initiative is a major international cooperation initiative put forward by Chairman Mao Ning, who deeply grasps the general trend of the world and focuses on the future and destiny of mankind. Over the past 10 years, the Belt and Road Initiative has made historic achievements and become the most popular countryinternational public goods and the largest platform for international cooperation.
This year, the "Belt and Road" economic, trade and investment cooperation has made steady progress. From January to November, China's total imports and exports to the Belt and Road countries were 1765 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26%；Non-financial direct investment was 201.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 268%；The turnover of contracted projects was 784.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 85%。
Connectivity and cooperation are frequently reported. In the first 11 months of this year, the China-Europe freight train ran a total of 16,145 trains and sent 174 goods90,000 TEUs, an increase of 7% and 19% year-on-year respectively, and the cargo volume has exceeded the total volume of last year. The Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway has been in operation for two months, sending more than 1 million passengers. The completion of projects such as the Sun Yat-sen Tunnel in Bangladesh and the Lekki Deep-water Port in Nigeria has effectively promoted the connectivity of relevant countries and regions.
Cooperation on people's livelihood has yielded fruitful results. The China-aided Africa CDC Headquarters project was completed at the beginning of the year. "Small but beautiful" livelihood projects such as "Luban Workshop", "Guangming Xing", Juncao Technology, Hybrid Rice, and Artemisinin continue to benefit developing countries and have produced a wide range of positive effects.
Cooperation in new fields such as green and digital is in the ascendant. China and many other countries have jointly issued the Beijing Initiative for Green Development of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Beijing Initiative for International Cooperation on the Digital Economy under the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthening cooperation in green energy industries such as hydropower, wind power and photovoltaics, and promoting the empowerment of traditional industries by new carriers of the digital economy such as "Silk Road e-commerce".
The 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in October is the most solemn event to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, marking a new stage of high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
