Mao Ning said that the US has once again concocted and spread false narratives related to Xinjiang, used the so-called human rights issue in Xinjiang as an excuse to impose illegal sanctions on Chinese companies and enterprises, seriously interfered in China's internal affairs, seriously violated international law and basic norms governing international relations, seriously tarnished China's image, and seriously damaged the legitimate rights and interests of relevant Chinese companies and enterprises. China resolutely opposes and strongly condemns this, and has lodged solemn representations with the US side.
According to the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China, China will provide a "basis" for the long-term collection of sensitive Xinjiang-related information and the illegal sanctions imposed by the US on XinjiangKharon, an American intelligence data companyand 1 other institutions;RightEdmund Xu, Director of Investigations at Karon CompanyNicole Morgret, a former researcher at the Center for Advanced Defense Studiesand other two persons to take countermeasures, prohibit the above-mentioned two persons from entering China (including the Mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao Special Administrative Regions), freeze the movable property, immovable property and other types of property of the above-mentioned companies and individuals in China, and prohibit organizations and individuals in China from engaging in relevant transactions and cooperation with them.
Mao Ning said that we once again urge the US side to stop slandering and smearing China, revoke illegal unilateral sanctions against China** and enterprises, and stop implementing the so-called Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act and other erroneous bills. If the US side insists on going its own way, China will accompany it to the end.
