Water pump CU-TR certification.
Before placing water pumps on the markets of Russia and other EAEU member states, they must undergo a conformity assessment in accordance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union TR CU.
The form of conformity assessment and the technical regulations under which the CU-TR certification procedure is carried out depend on the nature and purpose of the pump equipment. There are many types of pumps. Different types of pumps fall under different regulations and have different certifications. Depending on the purpose and function of a particular type of pump, a company should determine which regulations are required and what certifications (EAC Certificate of Conformity, EAC Declaration of Conformity, or other licenses) should be issued for it
Do water pumps have to be EAC certified?
In accordance with the requirements of the relevant Technical Regulations of the Customs Union, domestic pumps must confirm conformity in the form of EAC Conformity Certification, and industrial pump types must register for EAC Conformity Certificate.
Industrial pumps in the list of TR CU 010 2011 Annex 3 must be carried out in the form of an EAC Declaration of Conformity.
At the discretion of the Requester, the TR CU 010 2011 EAC Declaration of Conformity may also be replaced by the TR CU 010 2011 EAC Certificate of Conformity.
To obtain an EAC Certificate of Conformity for pumps, the applicant should apply to a certification body authorized by the Eurasian Union.
EAC Certificate of Conformity Scheme
Pumps can be declared EAC of conformity according to the TR CU 010 2011 regulation according to one of the 6 schemes
Requesting the applicant, the EAC Declaration Scheme for industrial pumps may be replaced by an equivalent EAC Conformity Certification Scheme (1C, 3C, or 9C), followed by the issuance of an EAC Certificate of Conformity.
For mass-produced pumps, both the EAC Declaration of Conformity and the EAC Certificate of Conformity are valid for no more than 5 years.
Which pumps should apply for the SGR National Registration Certificate?
The State Registration Certificate (SGR) is for liquid pumps with or without a flow meter (HS Code: 8413):
For domestic and drinking water **.
For use in contact with food.
There is no restriction on the validity of the SGR state registration certificate for water pumps.
