On December 29, the first batch of demonstration projects of the national 10 million kilowatt East Guangdong Offshore Wind Power Base, Huaneng Shantou Lemen (II) 600,000 kW offshore wind power project, was connected to the grid for power generation, marking Huaneng's zero breakthrough in offshore wind power in Guangdong. The project is the largest single offshore wind power project in the eastern part of Guangdong, and its grid-connected operation is another vivid practice of Huaneng Group to serve the "double carbon" goal and fully integrate into the overall strategy of Guangdong as a strong marine province.
Huaneng Lemen (II) Offshore Wind Power Project is a key project of Guangdong Province during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and a landmark project of Huaneng's 10-million-kilowatt "wind, solar, water, fire, and storage integration" energy base in eastern Guangdong. The project is located in the south sea area of Nanao Island, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, with a 600,000-kilowatt turbine, 54 11-megawatt wind turbines, and a supporting construction of a 220 kV offshore booster station and an onshore switch station. After the project is put into operation, it can provide 2 billion kWh of clean electricity per year, which is equivalent to saving 650,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.8 million tons per year, which is of great significance for local green and low-carbon development.
Huaneng Lemen (II) offshore wind power project has created a number of "national firsts", filling the gaps in the industry of a number of technology applications. It mainly includes: the first demonstration application of 11 MW localized direct-drive offshore wind turbines led by Huaneng;Innovative use of 220 kV voltage level, the world's largest cross-section copper core smooth aluminum sheathed cable system;The first demonstration of new technologies such as 66 thousand volt wet light submarine cable;We will build the first 5G dual-domain security private network and integrated intelligent perception monitoring system in China, and create a "safe, intelligent, and environment-friendly" offshore wind power demonstration project, which provides a model for subsequent offshore wind power innovation and development.
During the construction of the project, Shantou Offshore Wind Power Co., Ltd., Huaneng Southern Branch, faced with difficulties such as complex sea conditions, tight equipment supply, difficult coordination, and short construction window, the construction was safe and efficient, and refreshed the domestic construction record for the installation of the same type of offshore booster station and the hoisting of large megawatt wind turbines, which was completed in less than 2 months11Autonomous construction of the 4-kilometer transmission project.
