This year, the in-orbit test of the Land Exploration No. 1 01 group of satellites developed by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) was successfully completed. On December 29, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) held a ceremony in Beijing for the commissioning of the Land Exploration No. 1 01 satellite. Representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Emergency Management, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Aerospace Science and Technology Group and other units attended the ceremony and jointly signed the certificate of satellite operation, and the relevant units of satellite operation signed the long-term operation and management agreement of the satellite.

Land Exploration 1 01 group of satellites

The Land Exploration No. 1 01 group of satellites is a scientific research satellite in the Medium and Long-term Development Plan for National Civil Space Infrastructure (2015-2025), which consists of two satellites, A and B. In 2023, the two satellites will complete the in-orbit test, and the satellites are in good condition, and their performance meets the general requirements of satellite engineering development and application system requirements, and they are ready for use.

The satellite photographed the national cloudy and rainy areas and some international cloudy and rainy areas in the dual-satellite orbiting mode, and photographed the typical deformation areas in China in the dual-satellite follow-up mode, produced 372 maps of various types, and generated national orthophotos, digital surface models of some cloudy and rainy areas, deformation field products of typical deformation areas, and various emergency and forestry and grass monitoring products, including Zhouqu debris flow in Gansu, landslides in Ankang area of Shaanxi, land use classification in Beijing and other places, digital surface models in Yunnan and other places, Luding, Sichuan**, Mining disaster in Inner Mongolia, forest non-forest distribution in Hainan Province, etc.
