On December 14, Universal** Greater China announced the appointment of industry expert Lu Ming as vice president of artist development and pan-entertainment development.
In this newly created position, Lu Ming will be fully responsible for the development strategy of Chinese-speaking artists, and create more high-quality creative and commercial opportunities for local artists signed by Global ** Greater China through cross-border development in the pan-entertainment industry, including film and television, variety shows, games and other fields.
Prior to joining Universal**, Lu Ming served as the Senior Director of Warner** China, responsible for all aspects of Warner**China's artist brokerage business and IP development business. During this period, focusing on the hip-hop trend that is most popular among the young people of Generation Z, Luming successfully signed a number of groups of hip-hop artists, which increased the company's market share in this genre.
From 2017 to 2022, Lu Ming served as the director of the agency department of Modern Sky, and in five years, he independently signed more than 30 groups of artists and led the production of more than 20 albums. He has incubated and founded two ** labels - "Modern Sky Sports Label" and "White Cat Laundry Label", and served as the manager. In terms of innovation and development of entertainment IP, he successfully introduced the well-known American life festival IP brand Wanderlust Festival, founded the pan-entertainment IP "Modern Sky Sports Festival", as well as the IP "Strawberry Town" specially created for the shopping mall consumption scene and the "Citrus Festival" focusing on serving the young group of Generation Z.
After Lu Ming joined Modern Sky, he also served as the manager of the New Pants Band and the rights band that reshaped the statue, supervised the production and publication of the band's early ** and coordinated the completion of multiple rounds of national tours, laying a good foundation for the development of the acting career of the two bands. In 2009, as one of the members of the start-up team, Luming was deeply involved in the incubation of China's most influential festival IP "Strawberry Festival".
Lu Ming said that he will strive to explore the effective combination of first-class and pan-entertainment in line with the new situation, better connect China's first-class entertainment and the global market, and help outstanding Chinese artists to go to a broader world stage.
