While the E92-generation BMW M3 is best known for being the first M3 to use the BMW V8, an example currently on sale is powered by a Japanese turbocharged inline-six engine.
Blasphemy?Maybe. But we're talking about one of Nissan's revered powerplants – the RB series inline-six, which has given the brand multiple motorsport victories with the iconic R32 Skyline GT-R.
Specifically, this M3 is powered by an RB25 engine that produces up to 250 horsepower from the factory. The seller did not disclose the exact power data for this version.
However, this Nissan inline-six engine upgrades the internals like Maxspeeding rods, Wossner pistons, and Brian Crower camshafts, cams, and valve springs. It is also mated to an N1 oil pump, six boost manifolds, a Greddy-style air intake, Grams Motorsport billet electronic throttle body, 1,000cc injectors, custom rear oil pan, and a Precision 6062 turbocharger.
Powering the wheels is a five-speed Samsonas sequential gearbox and an Extreme two-plate 230mm clutch. The coupe features a set of 18-inch five-spoke Veilside wheels that are connected to full Air Lift Performance air suspension with a 3P management system.
Aside from the Samsonas gear lever, Individual Racing Parts handbrake, and Link dashboard display, the interior appears to be mostly stock.
Completing this build is a complete Pandem widebody kit, launch control, high and low boost control, Link ECU, 4" intercooler with custom stainless steel piping, 35-inch custom stainless steel exhaust pipe, 25-inch custom stainless steel scream tube, 4-inch stainless steel air intake, and Pro RAM air filter.
This cool Nissan GT-R-powered project car is currently up for grabs, but there's a catch: it's based in Ireland. If you're interested, the version will cost you £39,995 (or around $50,207 at the current exchange rate).
