Nanshan Ecological and Cultural Park (formerly known as Nanshan ** Wetland Park) is located in the center of Nanshan, the main urban area of Chongqing, and belongs to the area of the urban chronic landscape organization belt. With a total construction area of 200,000 square meters, the park completely retains the original landform of Nanshan Mountain, and uses the native lotus pond water system to create a wetland landscape park. The surrounding area is rich in various types of residential areas, educational land, small shopping places and various tourist attractions, and is rich in life and tourism resources.
The unique natural features of Nanshan Ecological and Cultural Park are loved by surrounding residents and tourists in Nanshan, and various functions such as camping, picnics, sports, and play are also popular. However, with the passage of time, the long-built park is difficult to meet the spiritual needs of contemporary people, and the original facilities and guide signs have many problems such as aging and serious wear and tear, which cannot meet the daily use needs of the park. Taking advantage of this micro-update, the design carried out a series of research and analysis on the Nanshan Ecological and Cultural Park, thinking about how to reshape the scene with minor changes, and at the same time strengthen the connection between man and nature, and maximize the value of the site's ecological diversity.

Wetlands have huge ecological, economic and cultural functions, and the complex wetland ecosystem covers rich flora and fauna, precious endangered species, unique natural landscapes, etc., which is an ideal place for human recreation, tourism, scientific research and education. The design takes wetland resources as the entry point, develops parent-child tourism and ecological education, integrates ecology, education and leisure and entertainment, and creates an urban science and education base in Nanshan area that integrates ecological experience, natural science education and sightseeing - a new modern urban children's science and education park.
The design tone has a clear theme, emphasizing the protection of the natural ecological environment, and not over-designing. By improving the functional layout of the park and combining the characteristics of the ecological space of the site, the themes of each section are reconstructed to create a richer tour themeEnhance the visual environment of the park, and use unique and distinctive colors and patterns to form a link between the play space;Cultural and educational facilities in the park will be added to guide the instinctive behavior of guests to explore and play in nature, and enhance the interactive experience. The design should be in line with the ecology and culture of the surrounding parks and scenic spots, enrich the play experience of the corresponding customer groups, enhance the theme of natural science education, balance urban development and quality of life, and help people return to nature and intimacy.
Design concept
A good child-friendly park should not only be beautiful, but also guide children's interest in art, love of science, and awareness of the protection of the natural environment. The design draws inspiration from the local natural scenery of Nanshan, Chongqing, combines the space scenes of different sizes with the natural resources of the site, takes the design concept of "building block game in nature" as the design concept, extracts the animal and plant elements in nature, and uses abstract artistic techniques to create geometric shapes with bright colors, simple shapes and powerful functions, and uses this as the core design element to extend to the design of multiple sections of the park, creating a set of IP image, sign guidance system, science and education facilities, A park brand integrating interactive installations and surrounding cultural creativity.
With the thinking of "brand", we pay tribute to the "City of Eagle Flying", "Nanshan Golden Eagle" and "City of Heroes", create the unique native IP of the park, create an overall visual image, and enhance the communication ability of the project. The vivid image of ecological science education and forest fire prevention education can also better stimulate children's interest and guide them to participate in learning and interaction.

The wayfinding system is an important memory point of the park, providing navigation functions and giving the park a distinctive and unique image. The design is based on the structural form of the park, using three-dimensional puzzle toys to assemble shapes, bright colors and geometric patterns become the link between the wayfinding system and the park building, providing visitors with an interesting and attractive navigation function.
Cultural and educational facilities provide a space for children to grow, designed in line with the natural ecological positioning of Nanshan, with artistic and vivid modeling, integrated into the theme of ecological science and education, to meet the needs of play and exploration of integrated functions, to create an entertaining children's paradise, so that children can understand the ecology, protect the ecology, and get close to the ecology.
Through the overall visual image design and sensory atmosphere creation, with the unique natural ecological environment, Nanshan Ecological and Cultural Park has greatly improved the play experience and science and education experience, forming a colorful, interesting, imaginative, and informative Nanshan Natural Culture Science Education Base and Child-friendly Ecological Science and Education Park, which meet the needs of urban development and quality of life improvement, and create a symbiosis of natural ecology, leisure and entertainment, and education.
