At 9 o'clock in the morning, Niu Yinbing, the head of the regiment, and Wang Jianwen, the political commissar of the new camp of Mapaoquan, greeted me in front of the office building. After a brief briefing, we took a group photo.
Accompanied by Wang Shaohong, deputy director of the Political Department, and Jia Zhixin, secretary of the Political Department, I visited the Youth League History Museum, the Red Ninth Company, and the Red Second Company.
Looking at the beautiful camp, touching the exquisite facilities, and stepping on the smooth road, my mind is full of thoughts.
The 184th Regiment and the 181st Regiment intersected a lot. Unit 84835, Unit 84859, the code name used by both regiments, which is also unique in the whole army. "Xuefeng Regiment" and "Diamond Diamond", "Heroic Company of Attacking Fortifications" and "Red Ninth Company", "Model Company of Unity and Combat" and "Heroic Company of Perseverance" are well-known throughout the army. In the 2015 "9 3 Military Parade", the 184th Regiment "Attacking the Hero Company", among the red flags held, there was a "diamond diamond". The battalion commander Niu of the special brigade back then is now the head of the 181st Regiment, and Director Wang of the Political Department of the Xuefeng Special Operations Brigade is now the political commissar of the 181st Regiment. Political Commissar Yang of the 181st Regiment is now Political Commissar Yang of the Special Operations Brigade. What amazes me is that the basic experience of building a company according to the program summed up by me in the 184th Regiment: "It must be done every day, every week, every month, every month, and every month" is hanging in the foyer of every company of the 181st Regiment today, and they have conscientiously studied, Xi and implemented it.
Now, I have been retired for several years, and I don't have to think about the training of the troops and the fighting. However, the spirit of Laoshan still keeps pace with the times and inspires my comrades-in-arms and my regiment to stride forward on the road of strengthening the army.
