Yangtze River Network News (reporter Wang Chengyong, correspondent Xia Chen).On the evening of December 29th, under the guidance of Wuhan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and created and performed by Wuhan Song and Dance Theater Co., Ltd., the environmental resident drama "Worship the Wind" premiered successfully in the 520 space of Wuhan Song and Dance Theater, attracting more than 200 audiences to have a sneak peek.

* The drama "Worship the Wind" is based on the country's implementation of the Yangtze River protection strategy and takes the protection of the finless porpoise as the starting point, telling the story of the brothers Ah Jiang and Ah Feng who grew up by the Yangtze River. As a descendant of fishermen, his younger brother Ah Feng continued the tradition of fishing for a living and opened a riverside restaurant. The elder brother Ah Jiang became a photographer, using his own lens to record the changes in the Yangtze River. Different lives and dreams separated them like two lines, and in the end, they were joined by the Yangtze River.

Although there are only three characters, Ah Jiang, Ah Feng and Lin Mu, the anchor of the shop, "Worship the Wind" attracted the audience through its unique modern plot, infectious ** and chic choreography. As soon as the anchor Lin Mu started a live broadcast of the store visit, turning the audience into fans watching the live broadcast, and took the audience into the Jiangshang restaurant in the play.
The main stage area is transformed into a boat, with the audience and actors close at hand, and Ah Feng is fishing and casting nets under the noses of the audience. On the big screen, the scenery of the four seasons on both sides of the Yangtze River changes, and groups of finless porpoises swim back and forth, jumping out of the river to "worship the wind", and also witness the ups and downs of the brothers' emotions. The ** of the whole play incorporates many modern ** elements, with three different timbres of tenor, baritone and soprano to create the three characters of A Feng, A Jiang brothers and Lin Mu, the song hears the call of the simulated finless porpoise, and you can also hear the timbre similar to the chime, which is not only full of poetry and picturesqueness, but also does not lose the breath of life, and well conveys the theme of protecting the mother river of the Yangtze River.

*The play "Worship the Wind" was created by Hu Xiaoqiong, an outstanding young screenwriter, and directed by Leng Jiahua, a national first-class director. Hu Xiaoqiong said that small theater is not only a spatial concept, but also includes the polymorphic integration of artistic expression and the breakthrough of the form of diverse exploration of the drama space, as well as the in-depth analysis of human nature and the creative reflection on the pursuit of individuality. Therefore, the creation of "Worship the Wind" adopts a "meaningful" style to present, allowing the characters to immerse themselves in "events", immersed in "flowing emotions", and poetically unfold the whole story.

The play adopts a variety of ways in the setting of the situation, so that the "beauty of the Yangtze River" and "the beauty of the finless porpoise" change from abstract concepts to concrete expressions, creating a vivid and romantic dramatic environment. Leng Jiahua, the director of "Worship the Wind", said that he grew up by the Yangtze River and hopes to let the audience appreciate the charm of the Yangtze River and the cuteness of the finless porpoise through this immersive repertoire that breaks the boundaries between the traditional stage and the audience. "As a literary and artistic worker, we will definitely play a role in the battle to protect the mother river of the Yangtze River, which is also our original intention to create this ** drama. ”
On the evening of December 31, the play will continue to be staged in the 520 space of Wuhan Song and Dance Theater. On the evenings of January 6 and 7, 2024, the play will also meet the audience again with different actors. Subsequently, the play will continue to be performed in Wuhan Song and Dance Theater 520 Space for a limited time.
