In recent years, new energy vehicles have become an important growth engine for the automotive industry. Electrification, intelligence, and networking have become new choices for automobile consumption, and lead the development direction of the global automotive industry. But challenges also come one after another, among which chips are one of the focus of competition among global automotive companies.

Automotive chips are an important carrier to improve the intelligent driving experience, and they are also the vanguard of the "integration of industrialization and industrialization" in the electronics and manufacturing industries. How to promote the high-quality development of the automotive chip industry and the integration and innovation of chip companies and car companies have become hot topics of concern in the industry. To this end, the "2023 Global Automotive Chip Innovation Conference" is coming.

At the opening ceremony, Guo Shougang, deputy director of the First Department of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that with the accelerated evolution of technologies such as vehicle electrification, intelligence, and networking, chips will play an increasingly important role in the future development of the automotive industry. I hope that everyone will make full use of this platform to exchange innovation experience, share development opportunities, and better promote the high-quality development of the two major industries of automobile and integrated circuits.

Wang Shijiang, vice president of China Electronic Information Industry Development Research Institute, suggested that it is necessary to improve the coordination of the industrial chain, promote close cooperation between enterprises in design, manufacturing, packaging and testing, deepen technological innovation, continuously enrich product pedigree, and promote the docking of "production and use" in multiple dimensions to promote the sustainable development of the automotive chip industry.

Liu Yuanchao, vice chairman and secretary of the China Semiconductor Industry Association, pointed out that the great changes in the form of automobiles have made new energy and intelligent networking a hot spot, making China's automobile industry have the opportunity to become a protagonist for the first time, and is leading the global trend of automotive innovation. He said that with such a great change in the automobile industry unseen in a century, it should inevitably be the great development of China's automotive semiconductor industry, and it is also an excellent historical opportunity for China's semiconductor industry to take advantage of the situation.

Li Haipeng, director of China Electronics Technology Group, mentioned talent training, he emphasized that domestic automotive semiconductor companies should seize rare development opportunities and work together, carefully sort out the market needs and capabilities, choose the most urgent needs of the automotive industry, good technical foundation of the products to start, increase investment, strengthen research and development and gather talents.

In the keynote forum, Ni Guangnan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a keynote speech on the new opportunities provided by RISC-V for the development of the intelligent networked vehicle industry. Sun Fengchun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Beijing Institute of Technology, shared his thoughts on several key technologies for the high-quality and sustainable development of the intelligent network + new energy vehicle industry. Mak Peiran, director of the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI Circuits, delivered a keynote speech on the interaction between analog chips and the development of new energy vehicles. Liu Luncai, director of the Automotive Chip Technology Development Research Center of CETC, brought thoughts on the development of automotive chips for the "New Four Modernizations".

Among the representatives of the enterprise, Li Wei, chief expert of Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., gave a keynote speech entitled "New Automobile 'Core' Ecology and New Future". Li Hong, President of China Resources Microelectronics, took China Resources Microelectronics' "gathering core kinetic energy and building a core engine" as an example for in-depth sharing. Jiang Jian, Vice President of Bosch China, focused on the application of semiconductors in the automotive field. In the field of cutting-edge technologies for industrial convergence, Zhu Yan, Director of Industry of the School of Microelectronics at the University of Macau, shared the research progress of the application of energy-efficient analog-to-digital converters for automobiles in advanced driver assistance systems.

At the same time, this year's chip conference also held four theme forums at the same time: "Global Automotive Chip Innovation Achievements", "New Energy Vehicle 'Core' Dynamics", "Building an Automotive Intelligent 'Core' Ecology", and "Automotive Chip Standardization Development", where guests from all walks of life gathered to jointly promote the collaborative innovation and development of the global chip industry and the automotive industry, and share Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions.

In addition, at the site of this chip conference, Binhu District, Wuxi City, held a signing ceremony for 10 major projects, including the ATE test equipment industrialization project, the data communication security chip industrialization project, the intelligent network roadside facilities industrialization project, the vehicle specification chip design and development industrialization project, the advanced semiconductor equipment headquarters project, the intelligent heavy truck headquarters project, the high-performance brake pad industrialization project, the semiconductor packaging and testing center industrialization project, the new energy vehicle battery materials industrialization project, and the new power device industrialization project.

The Standards and Regulations Working Committee of the China Association and the Automotive Chip Professional Committee should also be born. The secretariat of the Automotive Chip Professional Committee of the Standardization Committee of the China Automobile Association is located in the National New Energy Vehicle Technology Innovation Center, which will organize industry units to participate in the construction of the automotive chip standard system, carry out research on the demand for standards in the professional field, conduct standard research and revision, and track and evaluate the implementation and application of standards, including the research and formulation of group standards in 3 technical fields and 17 technical directions, including general requirements, product application technical conditions, and matching tests.
