Song Wan, in the classical masterpiece "Water Margin", is a rather interesting character. His nickname was "King Kong in the Clouds", a nickname derived from his height, his status, and his status in Liangshanbo. Song Wanyuan was the owner of the three villages in Liangshan, and together with Wang Lun and Du Qian, he laid grass in Liangshan and gathered a group of small minions to rob the house. Although his martial arts are mediocre, because of his tall and mighty stature, he has a place in Liangshanbo.
In the story of "Water Margin", Song Wan is the veteran of Liangshanbo and has experienced many changes in Liangshanbo. When Wang Lun was killed by Lin Chong, Song Wan remained in Liangshan and his status declined during the reign of Chao Gai and Song Jiang. By the time of the Liangshan Great Gathering, Song Wan was ranked eighty-second, and he was the Demon Star of the Earth, and his duty was to be a general of the infantry army.
In the battle in which Song Jiang led the heroes of Liangshan to conquer Fangla, Song Wan participated in the battle. Unfortunately, in the battle of Song Jiang to outwit Runzhou City, Song Wan was shot by an enemy arrow and died on his horse, becoming the first hero to die in battle in Liangshan. After Song Wan's death, he was posthumously awarded the title of Yoshitsuro.
Song Wan was the earliest to go to Liangshan, but he didn't make much credit, and the Water Margin commentators have long been discussing his seat. Among them, the writer Peng Hun once commented on Song Wan: "That Du Qian and Song Wan were the first to Liangshan, and they have been the leaders since Wang Lun, but they are ranked first."
Eight. Ten. Second, third, it can be seen that he has not much ability except to grow taller, and the last two were trampled to death by the chaotic army horses while fighting Fangla—not fast enough to escape. Modern views mostly believe that Song Wan and Du Qian are mediocre and incompetent, and often list the two as the "Top Ten Mediocre Talents in Liangshan", but there are also opinions that Song Wan and the two people, as the most senior veterans in Liangshan, are the spiritual leaders of hundreds of minions in Liangshan in the early days. Song Wan, as one of the three "originators" of Liangshan, although he had no ability, he also governed the early Liangshan on a grand scale, laying the foundation for the prosperity of Liangshan in the future. As Song Jiang commented when he paid tribute to Song Wan: Although he has not made miraculous achievements, when Liang Shanbo was founded, it was thanks to this person.
