In the drying process, the flash dryer adopts the method of heating and pneumatic conveying to send the materials into the flash chamber. The material in the flash chamber is in full contact with the hot gas under the action of high-speed air flow, so as to complete the drying process. Among them, the common separation is cyclone separator. Air is induced or forced into the feed area by means of a hot gas generator, with which the entrained feed and the flickered moisture are transferred. Once the product enters the feed area, the pellets reach the core area of the flash dryer at a conveying speed of up to 80%.
This flash dryer has the characteristics of automatic continuous work, equipped with vibrator, screw feeder, rotary airlock, double valve disc, gravity chute and other equipment. An effective backmix system can introduce feed sludge into the gas stream and treat it through a venturi or using a pulverizer.
The machine is suitable for handling feed with a wide range of characteristics, including slurry, paste and sludge (all together with the mix), fragile filter cakes as well as powder particles. Due to the need for relatively consistent particle sizes, the challenges of large particles and low to high feed rates are also issues for the machine.
The heat source of a flash dryer can be steam, electricity, coal, liquid fuel, or gas. Its drying time is very short (only a few seconds) and the residence time can be changed by increasing the holding time cyclone. The extraction process can be achieved by induction, the system can be burned, and the induced draft fan can be operated.
For dust collection, the system uses cyclones, scrubbers and electrostatic precipitators. These devices require a lot of dust collection, which is also part of the product's mechanism. The control system uses PLC, and the control device rarely involves solids. The system controls the exhaust temperature, which can regulate the energy and feed.
