Urumqi, January 1 (Reporter Li Yanan) In 2023, the oil and gas equivalent production of PetroChina's Tarim Oilfield will reach 33.53 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 430,000 tons, a record high. Among them, 7.55 million tons of petroleum liquids and 32.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas. This is the fourth consecutive year that the oil and gas production of the Tarim Oilfield has exceeded 30 million tons, and it has maintained a steady growth.
In 2023, the Tarim Oilfield will successively complete and put into operation the core oil and gas treatment projects in the Bozi-Dabei trillion cubic meter ultra-deep atmospheric area and the 1 billion ton ultra-deep oil area, realizing the large-scale production and benefit development of ultra-deep and complex oil and gas fields, and building the largest ultra-deep oil and gas production base in China.
A number of new technologies and equipment, such as vertical drilling and high-density drilling fluids in the Tarim Oilfield, have broken through the "deep limit" and liberated a number of ultra-deep oil and gas reservoirs. In 2023, a total of 70 8,000-meter ultra-deep wells will be drilled in the Tarim Oilfield, which is equivalent to the total number of 8,000-meter ultra-deep wells drilled over the years. At present, the number of ultra-deep wells drilled in the Tarim Oilfield accounts for more than 80% of the country, and the ultra-deep oil and gas reserves found account for 3 4 percent of the country.
In 2023, the Tarim Oilfield will supply more than 24.1 billion cubic meters of gas to the west and east, and more than 6 billion cubic meters of gas to the five prefectures in southern Xinjiang for the first time, benefiting more than 400 million residents along the route in 15 provinces downstream of the West-East Gas Pipeline, covering more than 8 million people of all ethnic groups in 42 counties and cities in southern Xinjiang.
