German small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) use Amazon extensively as a sales channel, both nationally and internationally. Last year, 47,500 of these companies were active on the platform, with an average cross-border sales value of €100,000.

According to the company, the company dominates e-commerce in Germany and has had a significant impact on offline retail in the country, with so many SMEs active on the platform never before have been active. Amazon does not provide revenue or revenue growth data on the overall sales performance of SMEs in Germany. But the company said the group of sellers traded a record 72.5 billion pieces.
