It is an important task in forest fire prevention to reduce the fuel load by burning the forest edge in a planned way, which can effectively intercept the flying fire, cut off the fire source, and block the spread of the peripheral wildfire. This "arson" is a planned fire isolation zone burning action organized by the Zhoucun District Forest Prevention Command (Forest Fire Prevention Headquarters) to block and delay the spread of fire.
Before the burning, the forest prevention department of Zhoucun District has planned the burning area and burning range in advance according to the topography and landform in the burning area, the distribution of combustibles and other factors. At the burning site, 16 full-time forest rangers and 5 village forest rangers had a clear division of labor, and adopted different tactics to work together to promote the ignition of the fire head, fire line control, cleaning up the remaining fires and other links in an orderly manner, and burned the combustibles at the forest edge in key parts, burned a section and cleaned up a section.
In the later stage, we also plan to form a fire isolation zone of nearly 30 kilometers during the fire prevention period to isolate the forest area from the surrounding key fire prevention areas to ensure the safety of the forest area. The relevant person in charge of the Zhoucun District Emergency Management Bureau said. Burning the fire isolation belt can not only "reduce the burden" of forest fire prevention and prevent mountain fires from "burning", but also further test and improve the emergency response and cooperation capabilities between team members in the process of burning, and lay a solid foundation for ensuring the safety of forest resources.
