ITO PEN, polyethylene terephthalate coated with indium tin oxide

Mondo Health Updated on 2024-01-29

ITO-PEN refers to the coating of polyethylene terephthalate (PEN, polyester film) with a film of indium tin oxide (ITO). This structure combines the properties of a PIN with the conductivity of ITO and is often used in applications that require high transparency, flexibility, and conductivity.

PEN is a polymer film that is similar to PET, but is generally more resistant to high temperatures and has better mechanical properties. When a thin ITO conductive film is applied to the surface of the Pen, the resulting ITO-PEN structure maintains the high temperature resistance and mechanical properties of the PEN to a certain extent, while at the same time making it electrically conductive.

The application for this structure is similar to ITO conductive film (PET), but because the PIN is more resistant to high temperatures, it is more suitable for some applications that require high temperature stability. Common application areas include:

Flexible Electronics:ITO-PEN is often used in the manufacture of electronic devices such as flexible displays and flexible touch screens, because the PEN has better high-temperature stability than PET.

High Temperature Environment Applications:Due to the high temperature resistance of the pen, the ITO-PEN structure can be used in some occasions that need to be used in high-temperature environments, such as automotive displays, aerospace equipment, and other fields.

In general, the ITO-PEN structure combines the high-temperature stability of the PEN with the conductivity of the ITO, and has a wide range of application prospects in flexible electronics and high-temperature environments.
