Military hospitals are medical units of the military system, important logistics resources of the army, and play an important role in the army's logistics support system. The hospitals of our ** team system, including the two sequences of the People's Liberation Army and the Armed Police Force, are all military hospitals, and there are 5 levels of these hospitals, from high to low: deputy army level, full division level, deputy division level, regiment level, and deputy regiment level.

First, there is only one deputy military-level hospital, namely the "General Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army", also known as the 301 Hospital of the People's Liberation Army. Before the military reform in 2016, the PLA General Hospital was subordinate to the PLA General Logistics Department and was a regular army-level unit. However, after the military reform, the PLA General Hospital was downgraded to the deputy military level and placed under the jurisdiction of the Joint Logistics Support Force.

In terms of strength and scale, the PLA General Hospital is the strongest among the military hospitals. This is the largest, highest-level, and best-condition hospital in the whole army. Even compared with local hospitals outside the military system, the PLA General Hospital is not inferior, ranking in the top five of the top 100 hospitals in the country all year round.

Second, there are 13 division-level hospitals in the military system, which are divided into three sequences, the first sequence is the five general hospitals in the five major theaters, and the second sequence is the two provincial-level military district general hospitals: the Xinjiang Military Region General Hospital and the ** Military Region General Hospital. The PLA Army, Navy, Air Force, Rocket Force, Strategic Support Force, and Armed Police Force all have a special medical center for each service.

After the current round of military reform, there are only eight general hospitals in the whole army, namely, the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army, the General Hospital of the five theaters, the General Hospital of the Xinjiang Military Region, and the General Hospital of the ** Military Region. Before the military reform, the general hospitals of the various branches of the military and the general hospitals of non-government offices of the large military regions were restructured, some of which were merged into the PLA General Hospital, and some of which were assigned to the joint logistics support force.

3. There are 13 hospitals at the deputy divisional level in the military system, which are divided into two sequences: the first sequence is the eight hospitals affiliated to the military medical universities of the three branches of the military (army, navy, and air force) (all at the deputy division level), and the second sequence is the five deputy division-level hospitals under the jurisdiction of the joint logistics support force, the first hospital of the People's Liberation Army.

In the process of military reform in 2016, the army set up a joint logistics support force to integrate various logistics resources of the army, so the joint logistics support force accepted many military hospitals, most of the hospitals affiliated to the joint logistics support force are at the regimental level, and only 5 hospitals are at the deputy division level. The three military medical universities have a total of 8 affiliated colleges, which are under the management of each military school.

In terms of rank, the majority of military hospitals at the regimental level account for the majority of military hospitals, including most of the hospitals under the jurisdiction of the joint logistics support units, as well as the hospitals of various group armies of the army, as well as the hospitals of the air force in the five theaters and the hospitals of the three major fleets of the navy. It is worth mentioning that there are no affiliated hospitals for the various theater armies.

After the current round of military reform, the armed police force has been reorganized into three police branches: internal guard, mobile and coast guard, with a total of 35 corps, each armed police corps has an affiliated hospital, and the hospitals of each armed police corps are all deputy regiment-level units.

In the process of military reform, the number of military hospitals has been greatly reduced. Moreover, the vast majority of the PLA system hospitals have been assigned to the joint logistics support force, which is also a manifestation of the integration of military medical resources.
