The reporter learned from the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City on the 28th that the country's first vehicle-road-cloud integration unmanned driving challenge landed in the Eco-City and was held during this year's World Intelligence Congress. The Eco-City's 145-kilometre ICV test road will provide a training, testing and competition venue for the event.
It is understood that this year's competition is planned to be co-hosted by the National Intelligent Connected Vehicle Innovation Center, the Eco-City Management Committee and relevant organizations, and a technical training camp will be set up. The Eco-City advocates green transportation and green mobility, and actively promotes innovative practices in intelligent networked vehicles and autonomous driving. In 2020, the Eco-City took the lead in running the Panda Smart Bus on the road, becoming the first city in China to launch the intelligent networked bus. In December 2021, the Eco-City received support from the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and other ministries and commissions to launch a pilot project to promote the development of the ICV industry in terms of infrastructure, application scenarios and industrial ecology. At the 7th World Intelligence Congress, the Eco-City released a list of opportunities for "Double Intelligence" cities, attracting a number of enterprises with key core technologies to participate in the Eco-City's "Double Intelligence" pilot projects.
Up to now, the Eco-City has attracted 19 industrial chain projects, including the headquarters base of Lihe Industry and Trade Auto Parts Intelligent Manufacturing and the China headquarters of Singapore's Moovita autonomous driving project. At the same time, the Eco-City has joined hands with the National Innovation Centre for Intelligent Connected Vehicles to build a platform for the integration of industry and education, and established a joint training mechanism with a number of universities to attract high-end talents and high-quality projects for industrial development.
