On February 22, the "Integrated Frozen Food Engineering Research Institute" cooperated by Hema and Baizhentang in Wenzhou was officially unveiled. Yu Xia, the person in charge of Hema rice noodle products, introduced that the establishment of the laboratory is to accelerate the research and development of new frozen instant noodle series and continue to increase the field of frozen staple food.
In December last year, Hema launched frozen instant noodles without adding water and with a clean ingredient list to "kill" the instant noodle track. Yu Xia introduced that the first two frozen instant noodles on the line, one is the original chicken soup noodles with high public awareness, and the other is the pickled vegetable and shredded meat noodles with high acceptance among the Suzhou-style noodles.
Since its launch two months ago, the month-on-month sales of the two new products have been 102%, and the repurchase rate has reached 15%, among which pickled vegetable and shredded pork noodles are more popular with consumers.
Based on consumer feedback, we have found that there is a lot of room for imagination of local specialty pasta, and we will continue to launch a variety of new products with different flavors this year. This month, the tonkotsu barbecued pork cartilage ramen was launched, and the meat content was increased to 80g without adding water and the ingredients were clean. In the future, Chongqing noodles, Guizhou sour soup noodles, Taiwanese beef noodles and other local specialty soup noodles will be launched to meet the needs of noodle lovers." Yu Xia said.
In October last year, Hema reached a strategic cooperation with Hai'an City, planning to invest more than 2 billion yuan to build the largest frozen food intelligent production base in East China, including the frozen pasta intelligent factory project.
Wen Zhihong, partner of Hejun Consulting and head of chain operation, said that ramen occupies a very important position in the catering market, and well-known chain brands such as Ajisen Ramen, Hefu Lao Noodles and Chen Xianggui have appeared successively, proving that the ramen category has a large market space in China. In the retail market, many brands favored by the capital market have emerged in recent years. The launch of frozen instant noodles by Hema is an attempt to explore this potential market with differentiated products, and the clean ingredient list and high recovery rate will also become the advantages of Hema in this track.
