Players are categorized in the game world into four categories: explorers, socializers, killers, and achievers. I've been an adventure player since I was a kid, and I love to immerse myself in triple-A titles with rich stories. I've tried everything from PS5, Xbox, Switch to PC games.

When I was in college, Dota was all over the school, and everyone in the dorm joined the fight. When I first tried "Glory of Kings", I also fell in love with it. In my memory, "The Legend of Sword and Fairy 4" was the first domestic story game I came into contact with, and I was also full of love for it.

However, I found that I didn't just pursue combat with the game, but also enjoyed being immersed in the storyline. I have played "The Witcher 3", "The Last of Us", "GTA5", "Cyberpunk 2077", "Big Cousin 2", "The Elder Scrolls 5" and other games with rich stories. In contrast, fighting, souls-based, or just monster farming games aren't my cup of tea.

The Last of Us 2 is a story game that is a classic. When we are young, it is difficult for us to integrate into the operation of the real world, and it is even harder to feel the grandeur and subtlety of society. The game world is full of ** for us, and it allows us to get a sense of engagement in another dimension.

I see the game as an exploration of parallel worlds, and I enjoy the thrill of participating in the general trend of the world in this virtual world. However, as I got older, I began to realize the complexity and unreality of real life. This feeling reached its peak as I gradually entered middle age, prompting me to write this article.

The PS5 I bought in February 2022 is the most played gaming device right now. As I've gotten older, my real-life experiences have increased in tandem with my gaming experiences, and my understanding of games has changed with it. I finally realized that for the post-70s generation, the hardest game is not an adventure in the virtual world, but a challenge in the real world.

From the closed campus to the society, I was exposed to all kinds of people and strange lives, and I found that the real world we live in is extremely vast and complex. Even the largest open-world games are just projections of the real world by game developers. In contrast, the real world is where we really need to explore. And, as we age, so do the responsibilities and pressures on us. Achievements in the game mean nothing to real life.

Gradually, I felt that the game had lost its appeal and necessity to me, even though I still loved it in my heart. Nowadays, my favorite thing is to play games while lying in bed. Sometimes, a person lies in bed with a lot of thoughts. I think there are three main reasons for this shift:

First of all, as we get older, we are no longer able to fully immerse ourselves in the game as we did when we were children. As children, games can make us feel fulfilled and satisfied, as if we were the main characters in the game.

Secondly, as we become adults, we face more daily chores and family problems. Even though I have a lot of time to play games, I don't have the passion I had in my heart. Nowadays, people are more inclined to watch in-depth drama movies, and prefer simple sitcoms and nonsensical variety shows, which also reflects the impetuousness of society.

Third, in order to make a living, the partners who used to play games together are gradually going their separate ways, resulting in fewer and fewer people who can play games together happily.

Life is a complex and ever-changing drama, full of the pressures of life, the complexity of interpersonal relationships and the challenges of social interaction. Games, like life, have many facets. We can't afford to indulge in it and forget the beauty of real life, nor can we completely deny the fun and inspiration that games bring us.

In conclusion, we can think of life as a game called "Earth OL", and everyone's life is a game. The real world has endless possibilities, and gaming is just one of them. We don't have to let video games be our only sustenance, and we don't have to give up our inner love for games because we pursue real life. Games will be an integral part of our lives, past, present, and future.
