Miao Jianmin, born in 1965 in Haiyan, Zhejiang, is an outstanding entrepreneur and financial professional.
He graduated from ** School of Finance in 1986 with a bachelor's degree and obtained a master's degree in economics from the Graduate School of People's Bank of China (now PBC School of Finance, Tsinghua University) in February 1989. He graduated again in July 2013 with a PhD in Economics.
His career began in 1989 when he joined the Chinese People's Insurance Company and rose through the ranks from cadre to division chief. In 1995, he started working in China Reinsurance (Hong Kong)** and successively served as Deputy General Manager, Deputy General Manager of Investment Department and Assistant General Manager of China Insurance (Group)**, as well as Managing Director, Assistant General Manager and Deputy General Manager of China Insurance Co., Ltd.
