President of China Construction Bank, Zhang Jinliang introduced

China Construction Bank, a state vice-ministerial-level unit, is a large state-owned bank under the management of the state, established on October 1, 1954, with its head office located at No. 25 Financial Street, Beijing.

Zhang Jinliang, born in November 1969 in Linqu, Shandong, is an outstanding figure in China's financial field.

He is a senior accountant and a certified public accountant and received his Ph.D. in economics from Xiamen University in 1997.

His academic background and expertise laid the foundation for his success in the financial industry. As early as 1987, Zhang Jinliang began to study at the School of Accountancy of Shandong University of Finance and Economics, specializing in accounting. Subsequently, he graduated from Xiamen University in September 1997 and joined Bank of China in the same year as a member of the finance and accounting department of the bank's head office, where he worked for many years.

Earlier in his career, Zhang Jinliang demonstrated outstanding talent, being promoted to Deputy General Manager of the Finance and Accounting Department of Bank of China Head Office in October 2003 and concurrently serving as Director of the IT Blueprint Implementation Office from March 2005 to February 2007. His dual responsibilities in the areas of finance and information technology have injected new impetus into the development of Bank of China.

From February 2007 to November 2009, Zhang Jinliang served as the General Manager of the Financial Management Department of Bank of China, where he continued to exert his leadership skills in the field of finance. He then took his career to the next level, serving as President and Party Secretary of Bank of China Beijing Branch from November 2009 to July 2014, where he made outstanding contributions to the bank's operations and management at the local level.

From July 2014 to January 2016, Zhang Jinliang joined the head office of Bank of China as vice president and member of the party committee. From January 2016 to August 2018, he moved to China Everbright Group Co., Ltd. as an executive director, a member of the Party Committee, and an executive director, president and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of China Everbright Bank. At this stage, his leadership position in the financial group was more solid.

In August 2018, Zhang Jinliang joined China Post Group Corporation and became a director, general manager and deputy secretary of the party group. Soon after, in March 2019, he took over as the secretary of the Party Committee of Postal Savings Bank of China and became the nominee for director and chairman of the bank. In May 2019, he officially became the Chairman and Non-Executive Director of Postal Savings Bank of China Co., Ltd., providing leadership for the bank's strategic planning and business development.

In April 2022, Zhang Jinliang returned to China Construction Bank as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee. And in May 2022, he once again ushered in a new peak in his career and became the president of China Construction Bank.

He is also the Vice Chairman of the Board, Executive Director, Member of the Strategic Development Committee and a Member of the Risk Management Committee of China Construction Bank, where he is responsible for the bank's strategic decision-making and risk management.
