1. Do things you don't like but should do.
Each of us has inertia and potential. Self-disciplined people will put moderate pressure on themselves to do something outside their comfort zone but beneficial to themselves every day, so as to sharpen their mind and stimulate their potential.
Staying up late, lying in bed, overeating, these things that can make us feel "comfortable" can't really make us better, they only steal time unconsciously.
The habits that can really make us better, such as reading, exercising, going to bed early and waking up early, must not be so comfortable at first, and they don't make us "like" so much. But the more things that seem difficult for ordinary people to adhere to, the more they can test a person's willpower, and the more they can train a person.
Excellent people will insist on doing those things that are useful to them. Only by putting in more effort and effort than others, can you become sparkling in the grinding again and again.
2. Don't do what you like but shouldn't do.
Self-disciplined people know how to restrain their excessive desires. The ultimate height of a person depends on the height of self-demand. Having high requirements for oneself and being strict with oneself is the best self-discipline.
Why do we all know the importance of self-discipline, but in reality some people can't? Because self-discipline means that you have to give up, give up your preferences, give up your inertia.
If you want to have a perfect body, you can't always eat high-calorie foods; If you want to learn a skill, you need to spend less time on your phone; If you want to have your own business, you have to spend more time studying your field of interest.
Only when a person does the above two things can he be truly self-disciplined. How self-disciplined you are, how beautiful you are, may you and I become better versions of ourselves.
