This track encourages students to express their exploration and imagination of science, technology, future society and its possibilities through science fiction short films.
Solicitation arrangement. 1.Call for Works.
The deadline for entries is March 15 this year.
2.Preliminary selection.
At the end of March 2024, the professional preliminary selection team recommended 5 excellent works in each of the 5 categories of films, and a total of 25 shortlisted works entered the final selection.
3.The final selection of the works.
In April 2024, the final selection committee recommended 3 "excellent live-action short films", 3 "excellent animation short films", 3 "AI experimental excellent short films", 3 "special effects innovation excellent short films", and 3 excellent short films of "Firefly Project", a total of 15 excellent works.
4.Awards ceremony.
The award ceremony will be held at the end of April 2024 during the 8th China Science Fiction Convention 2024.
Requirements. All works must comply with national laws and regulations.
The work should be completed after June 1, 2022.
The length of the work must be more than 1 minute and no more than 30 minutes.
The submitted work should be in a completed state, with a complete opening and ending, reflecting the complete title, list of main creators and other information, and no drafts or unfinished works will be accepted.
All submitted works must be packaged in MP4, MOV, etc., with a resolution of 1080p or above, a frame rate of 25 frames or more, and full subtitles or external subtitles; No watermark can be added; Do not insert any commercials; If there is an episode, it must be subtitled in Chinese.
Note: To register for the excellent short film of AI experiment, you need to submit a technical document on the use of AIGC technology, describing the AI technology used, the implementation method and its specific embodiment in the work.
Copyright Matters. Participants must own all copyrights of the work, including but not limited to the content of the story, ** images, etc. In the event of a copyright dispute over the participating works, the organizer has the right to cancel their qualifications, and any legal responsibilities involved shall be borne by the entrants.
Participating works are required to provide basic information such as feature films, trailers, posters, director**, stills, and director introductions, which will be used for recommendation and publicity. For the purpose of recommendation and publicity, the Preparatory Committee has the right to disseminate the submitted film and broadcast it on the Internet and in theaters within one year of the submission of the work, and has the right to print, print and publish relevant text and image materials.
If the author has reservations about the above regulations, he or she must indicate them in the registration form, otherwise he or she will be deemed to have voluntarily agreed to these regulations.
