Geert Bevin s MIDI controller for VisionPro enables virtual spatial positioning

Mondo Digital Updated on 2024-02-29

Recently, software engineer Geert Bevin showcased his MIDI Widgets, a MIDI controller for the Apple Vision Pro, that can be spatially positioned for $9$99.

MIDI Widgets aren't just early examples of how developers can unlock with VisionOS apps. For those who use MIDI controllers like keyboards and synthesizers, the new app unlocks a new layer of creative control.

MIDI Widgets allow users to create their own personal expansion kits for their favorite synthesizer or piano, and users can create virtual faders, buttons, and knobs from anywhere in any physical space. Each setting is persisted between sessions, and restarting the Vision Pro will not lose configuration.

Here are MIDI Widgets 10 Summary of features:

Designed for Apple Vision Pro.

Create as many faders, buttons, and knobs as you want.

Freely position and orient individual controllers.

The spatial snapping feature makes it easy to build larger, perfectly aligned control surfaces.

The controller is automatically anchored to its position, even when rebooted.

Controllers can be grouped by scene and can be easily invoked for different purposes.
