The theme of this orchid exhibition is "Orchids and Culture". The Four Seasons Flower Hall of the National Botanical Garden (North Garden) Exhibition Greenhouse, Bonsai Garden, and National Botanical Garden (South Garden) Exhibition Greenhouse is the main viewing area of the Beijing Exhibition Area of the Orchid Exhibition, focusing on more than 500 species (including varieties) of more than 10,000 orchids and New Year flowers.

In the exhibition greenhouse of the National Botanical Garden (North Garden), various orchids in the six main exhibition areas decorate the place into a sea of flowers. The orchid boutique area is the core area of this orchid exhibition. The first exhibited dragon ginseng is named after the dragon circling when the flowers bloom, bringing a beautiful meaning to the Year of the Dragon.

At the same time, there will be the strange orchid with only one flower, the triangular orchid with the sepals folded back into a triangle, and the thin orchid with thin and translucent flowers, which will be presented to the public for the first time. In addition, the peculiar shape of the big devil dendrobium, octopus orchid, snake skin orchid, more than 30 kinds of orchids, more than 100 kinds of orchids will also be unveiled.

In the exhibition area of the Butterfly Hall, toys such as dragon head kites, swallow kites, bamboo boats, and birds are children's playgrounds. At the same time, the orchids and orchid mantis of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province are on display, allowing children to appreciate the magic of nature. In the orchid pineapple room scenic area, it is like being in the ocean of "orchid", and tourists can shuttle between the "reef" and "seaweed" like fish to enjoy the orchids.

The National Botanical Garden (North Garden) Bonsai Garden is a concentrated exhibition area of national orchids, with nearly 200 national orchids on display. Among the exhibits, there are not only fine orchids such as Chunlan, Chunjian, Molan, and Lotus Petal Orchid, but also "Zodiac Orchid" with "Dragon" in the name of "Dragon" Chunlan, "Wenshan Jialong" Molan, and "Butterfly Dragon" Chunlan.

As the department that carries out the taxonomy, resource investigation and ex situ conservation of wild native orchids in China, the National Botanical Garden (South Garden) will focus on the exhibition of wild native orchids, with more than 80 plants of about 40 species. Among them, there are many Gongshan fritillary orchids, safflower interval orchids, stolon-stemmed orchids, stone fairy peaches, spoon-lip orchids and other species that are not commonly cultivated in China. Visitors can not only see wild orchids in China, but also learn about the science of Chinese orchids.

There are about 780 genera and 2 genera of orchids in the worldThere are more than 80,000 species, which is one of the hot groups in biological research. The National Botanical Garden attaches great importance to the ex situ conservation of orchids, and has collected nearly 2,000 species (varieties) of orchids. In recent years, the wild return of Lycopodium grandi to the wild in Beijing has been completed. Ex situ conservation of wild orchids in Huanglong Nature Reserve returned; It has cooperated with nature reserves such as Sanjiangyuan in Qinghai, Changbai Mountain in Jilin and Erguna in Inner Mongolia to carry out conservation research and wild return of rare and endangered orchids.
