From Wonder Woman to Darkseid, the DC Extended Universe is full of power.
Power can be like a lot of things, and nothing embodies this more than the world of comic books. In this case, the soon-to-be-disbanded DC Extended Universe (DCEU).
The interconnected DC Universe hasn't been around as long as the Marvel Universe, but Warner Bros. film series offers a kaleidoscopic roster of heroes, supervillains, and anti-heroes who can wreak havoc on opponents. But they have different ways to do it.
With Superman's combination of strength, speed, flight, and laser eyes, Superman can use his vision to knock you through, beat you to powder, or burn you to ashes. He can grab your arm, fly to 100,000 feet in the air, and then throw you back to the ground, and your body will definitely be destroyed. The Flash runs so fast that he can change history and push the world to the brink of destruction. Alternatively, he can rush directly through one of his enemies and tear them to shreds with raw force. Zeus can eviscerate you with a thunderbolt. You get the idea.
The question is, which power is the most valuable? So who is the most powerful presence in the DCEU? With the release of Blue Beetle and James Gunn and Peter Safran's reboot of the DC Universe (Gunn's Superman: Legacy officially begins in 2025), The Wrap tries to answer these questions by ranking the most powerful DCEU characters.
20.Diablo
As a Pyro, Diablo possesses incredible destructive powers, and he demonstrates the extent of these abilities in the final scene of Suicide Squad. In his final battle, he managed to inflict some damage on the Nightmare while keeping the monsters out, allowing Task Force X's plan to succeed. He's not as powerful as the upper echelons of the DCEU, but he's proven to be the most powerful member of the aspiring antihero collective, so, to be commended.
19.Nightmares
The Incubus possesses incredible strength, considerable durability, and the ability to project fiery limb extensions with immense destructive power. He had put Task Force X in a difficult position before Diablo and Rick Flagg's skillful maneuvers led to his killing. He may be a god, but the reason for his death is that he doesn't look as powerful as Amanda Waller suggests in Suicide Squad. This may actually just be a continuity flaw, but it happens, so it's important.
18.The Flash
In a vacuum, there are a lot of people who are physically stronger than The Flash. However, he is able to use his speed in a number of different ways. On the one hand, if he runs at a normal speed, he will be able to destroy the parademon by running over them. In general, you can't hit what you can't see, so unless you have superhuman speed, you won't be able to dodge the Flash's attacks. On top of that, he runs so fast that he can travel between time and the universe, which gives him the ability to change the outcome in incomprehensible ways. That alone makes it difficult to rank him lower.
17.Calypso, Hespera, Anthea
Calypso and her two sisters, Hespera and Anthea, are both Titans with almost unstoppable magical and physical abilities, and they both possess amazing durability and superhuman strength. More directly, he has super strength, super speed, and the ability to turn his arm into a missile launcher or plasma ** with an ammo type that can destroy almost anything. 15.Witches
Witches are an ancient force with superhuman powers, psychic telesension, and the ability to distort thoughts. She uses all of these powers in Suicide Squad, in which she turns a large number of humans into zombies in an attempt to destroy humanity. Although she was eventually defeated, the entire Task Force X succumbed to her until the end, and a certain amount of deception was the only way the squad could exploit her weakness. But in terms of comprehensive strength, she is far ahead. Amanda Waller says she's the most powerful superpowered person she knows, and even if it doesn't feel real, it's clear that witches are a multidimensional force to be reckoned with.
14.Atlanta
This involves a bit of projection. Given that she is the belligerent Queen of Atlantis, Aquaman's Aquaman can only be an extremely powerful warrior at worst. The fact that she was able to easily defeat the Atlantean soldiers and evade pursuit for a long time only reinforces the idea that if her two sons are any proof, then her warrior genes must be A-1. 13.King Orm Marius
Aquaman's younger brother may not be victorious in the first film, but he proves his mettle as a warrior. Being able to communicate with sea creatures, if you choose to fight Mr. Arthur Curry, you always have the potential to face an army of sharks and whales, and because he can breathe underwater and on land, he has a distinct advantage over enemies that can only survive on the surface. Shazam may be a silly teenager at heart, but his power is very strong. With speed, strength, flight, and near-invulnerability, he possesses almost superhuman traits that make him one of the most formidable figures in all of DCEU. He proved it from the get-go, becoming an effortless (if not necessarily destructive) crime fighter before taking on Thaddeus Sivana, a superpower seemingly as powerful as him. Shazam's youthful instincts can be a weakness at times, but he is also very smart, and it is intelligence that has helped him take down the first major bad guy of his career.
10.Thaddeus Sivana
Thaddeus Sivana has a series of quirky powers that match his raw powers, and is a very powerful bad guy. In Shazam! , he is able to easily withstand the attacks of the titular hero while dealing damage to himself. All of this is cool, but his ability to summon demons at any time and project electricity gives him a power that even Shazam can't match. If it weren't for Billy Batson's ingenious last-second planning, there might not have been a sequel to Shazam.
9.Black Adam
The movie itself isn't stellar, but Black Adam is definitely a force. In DCEU, he freed himself from the giant's attack and then knocked them down, defeated numerous Doctor Destiny clones and ruled Hochman. His super strength and ability to fly are tough enough on their own, but his ability to shoot lightning from the palm of his hand gives him near-unmatched destructive power. In DC Comics, he is often described as being stronger than Shazam, and while it's hard to say who has the upper hand, Adam's older age gives him more wisdom and experience, so we'll let him have that in DCEU as well.
8.Ares
Ares is a veritable god whose primordial power, mind manipulation, telesensing, teleportation, and power projection make him virtually invincible, even in the cosmic forces of the entire universe. Another advantage is that his time on Earth has lasted for at least thousands of years, which gives him a wisdom that can reasonably be called eternal. His most impressive feat was the battle with his father Zeus on an equal footing, and then he ended up with the l. Unfortunately, the same goes for Wonder Woman, who eventually defeats him after harnessing her Elder God powers.
7.Wonder Woman
In addition to hosting the most popular movies in the DCEU, Wonder Woman has also achieved many amazing feats thanks to her physical abilities. For one, in the first film alone, she defeated Ares, the god of war. Any time you can defeat a true god, you will be very powerful. But just as impressive is her ability to withstand the blows of the apocalypse and, to some extent, resist Steppenwolf. She is not as strong as Superman and does not have any energy-based projectiles. But with her thousands of years of combat experience, as well as her speed, strength, and agility, she is one of the most formidable fighters in the world.
6.Steppenwolf
Steppenwolf isn't the most charismatic villain, but he's very powerful. In Justice League, he managed to easily repel the Amazons while getting the best performance of the Justice League in general except for Superman. Aquaman and Wonder Woman were able to stun him and stop him temporarily, but Steppenwolf clearly had the upper hand. Superman seems to be the only living creature capable of knocking him down. As part of Darkseid's crew, he is a civilization destroyer with extensive experience in reducing populations to ashes. He's not the most powerful presence in the DCEU, but he's not far from it.
5.Darkseid
We don't see a lot of Darkseid in Zack Snyder's Justice League, but we can use what we know to make some educated guesses about his powers. First, he commands Steppenwolf, and he is much more powerful than everyone in the Justice League except Superman. Wonder Woman is powerful enough to defeat Ares, a veritable god. This fits a lot with the comics, where he is immortal and one of the most physically overwhelming forces in the entire DC Universe. It's a pity that we can only see him in a few scenes.
4.General Zod: Kryptonite
As a Kryptonian, General Zod is endowed with the exact same abilities as Superman on Earth, but with some differences. One, he's old. Second, when they first met, he had already amassed years of combat experience that Clark Kent could never have dreamed of. So, with their respective strengths, the two were basically equal for most of the fight, but Superman eventually managed to pull out W. The rest of the Kryptonians – Lara Lor-Van and scientist Jax-your (Jax-your) and soldiers Car-Vex, Dev-Em II (Dev-Em II), Tor-An and Nadira – seem to have similar levels of ability, with Zod being their best fighter.
3.Superman
This one doesn't need much explanation, but here's a synopsis: Superman easily defeated multiple members of the Justice League at once, and in a movie before that, successfully stopped the invasion of Krypton, pitting several fighters with superpowers should theoretically be able to compete with his own. He's either as fast as someone who can turn back time and change history, or almost as fast. If you can defeat Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman at the same time, then you may well be an unbeatable beast. If you can do this and bring out the full power of a nuclear missile, then you have surpassed that. Forged by the corpse of General Zod, the will of Lex Luthor, and some forbidden Kryptonian science, Armageddon is an unparalleled force in the DCEU. He has superhuman strength and speed, and even more stamina. If Carl El is Superman: Man of Steel, Doomsday is a vibranium monster. In both the manga and Dawn of Justice, superheroes must die in order to defeat him. Superman effortlessly fires Steppenwolf and easily dismantles the attacks of multiple members of the Justice League. Basically, if you go against this guy, you do face the apocalypse.
1.Zeus
His name is a self-contained argument for omnipotence in itself, but we'll talk about it anyway. As an Elder God, he was almost immortal, and he was able to defeat Ares, who himself managed to conquer all other Elder Gods. He can shoot a huge thunderbolt that can destroy almost anything, and he is perhaps the only person in history who has been able to separate the mother box on his own. As if that weren't enough, he did create humanity, which must be given additional recognition in such a discussion. We didn't get a lot of opportunities to meet him, but his achievements speak for themselves.
