With the popularity of the concept of AAM (Advanced Air Mobility), more and more companies in the field of mobility have begun to pay attention to the research and implementation of EVTOL (flying car) and air mobility.
EVTOL, also known as "electric flying car", is a new type of vehicle for low-altitude transportation in the future. EVTOL is driven by pure electric power, which is more environmentally friendly and has low environmental requirements for take-off and landing points, making it more suitable for low-altitude travel within and between cities, providing a more efficient and fast way to travel. At the same time, in the future, evtol can also be applied to low-altitude transportation, low-altitude logistics, emergency response, emergency rescue, tourism and ......Create a prosperous low-altitude economy with considerable development prospects.
The AE200, the EVTOL product of Wofei Changkong, innovatively adopts the single-wing distributed tilting power design and advanced distributed electric propulsion (DEP) technology, which overcomes the reliability and safety difficulties of the traditional tilting mechanism, not only improves flight efficiency, but also enhances flight stability and safety. In terms of configuration, on the basis of the "eight-axis four-tilt" power arrangement, the airworthiness configuration of the AE200 with "four-tilt in eight axles" has been further clarified, which further improves its safety under dangerous flight conditions and single power unit failure, and makes the operation of EvtoL safer.
Driven by the innovation of Wofei Changkong, the Civil Aviation Administration of China also promulgated the "Notice on Soliciting Opinions on the Special Conditions for the Type Qualification Approval Project of Wofei Changkong AE200-100 Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing Aircraft", which officially clarified the airworthiness safety requirements of Wofei Changkong AE200. This is not only a key milestone for the Wofei Changkong AE200 project, but also the country's first 5-6 seat passengers, and the country's first manned EVTOL project special conditions, filling the gap in the current manned EVTOL aircraft certification.
In addition, Wofei Changkong has also established a joint venture with Volocopter, a German UAM (Urban Air Mobility) company, and plans to introduce Volocopter's leading airworthiness and high-safety EVTOL product Volocity. Wofei Changkong said that the AE200 has long-distance travel capabilities and will mainly focus on the diversified travel needs of urban agglomerations or intercities, while Volocity is more focused on short-distance travel and will mainly serve short-distance commuting and low-altitude sightseeing around the city. The combination of the two forms a "self-developed + introduced" and "long-range + short-range" full-scene coverage of urban low-altitude travel product solutions, thereby accelerating the implementation of the domestic EVTOL industry blueprint.
Looking forward to the future, with the further improvement of evtol (flying car) policy and the maturity of technology, convenient low-altitude transportation will be closer and closer to our lives. In this process, Wofei Changkong will continue to adhere to the research and development of eVTOL, explore more eVTOL (flying car) operation models, and let the urban air travel land earlier.
