It has been 7 years since the opening of the No. 71 medium-volume bus, and the call for "adjusting the restricted time period of the No. 71 special lane" has continued for many years, but the traffic rules have not changed so far. At this year's two sessions in Shanghai, some representatives proposed that they hope to transform the "special" bus lane into a "priority" bus lane through science and technology empowerment to achieve dynamic sharing.
At 10 o'clock in the morning on weekdays, the medium volume of No. 71 on Yan'an Road, whether it is going to the Bund or Minhang, almost every shuttle coming and going is full.
Perhaps the appeal of the 71 is that it enjoys a 24-hour bus lane, with high punctuality and reliability. However, many citizens believe that on the busy Yan'an Road, this special road should adopt a more flexible and dynamic management method. The owners think: "Usually the road is empty, other roads are blocked to move, sometimes I really want to drive up, but it is impossible, this is a special road, can not be opened." "The utilization rate of this road is not high, and it is obviously not high compared with the side road, I hope it can be optimized, and more cars can go to this road." ”
Although at the beginning of the establishment of No. 71 Road and its special lanes, in order to reduce the impact on other social vehicles on Yan'an Road as much as possible, more than 60 routes along the line have been detoured and rerouted, and the bus lanes on the right side of the original road have been cancelled, but the contradiction has always existed. In the view of the municipal people's congress deputies, the essence of setting up bus lanes is not to monopolize a certain road, but to ensure that buses can enjoy the priority "right of way".
Shi Zheng, a representative of the Municipal People's Congress and chairman of the Pudong New Area Jingao Public Transport Trade Union, said: "Like now, using physical space to divide bus lanes is actually 10 version, maybe we have it here, other social vehicles will feel a little affected, but as far as bus operation is concerned, we don't want the 'property rights' of this road, we want the right of way, so as long as the right of way is guaranteed, it can actually be compatible with other vehicles. ”
In fact, except for No. 71, which has a 24-hour lane, other ordinary bus lanes that do not have an all-day traffic restriction are often complained by the public, and the driving speed is difficult to guarantee. Because the dedicated lane does not fully match the bus route, there are breakpoints and blockages in the driving route. Last year, the reporter had conducted field research on a number of lines, took bus No. 95 from Pengpu Xincun Station, drove along Gonghe New Road, and after driving through the middle of the road, the bus lane disappeared.
In the 8-kilometer section, the bus lanes along the line are intermittent, and the buses can only start and stop all the way, and cannot speed up. The same is true for bus No. 36, because there is no space for dedicated lanes on some roads along the route, and there are many schools and office buildings along the way, vehicles enter and exit frequently, less than 4 kilometers of the road, and it takes nearly 45 minutes to drive during the morning rush hour.
As of May last year, Shanghai has built a total of 529 bus lanes1 km, of which 81 are dedicated lanes in the middle of the volume1 km, 363 ordinary bus lanes8 kilometers, covering the main roads, radiation and other large passenger flow corridors. However, from the point of view of reliability, the passenger experience is not ideal, and some people have proposed that since the special lane setting itself is incoherent, it is better to simply cancel the part and transfer the right of way to the social vehicle.
In this regard, the Municipal People's Congress proposed whether it is possible to consider the use of intelligent network technology of vehicle-road coordination to improve the efficiency of the use of bus lanes. According to her vision, through the technology of the Internet of Things, with the principle of bus priority, a part of the exclusive right of way can be intelligently transferred to social vehicles. "Through the connection of the cloud network, the vehicle that is in demand for the application of the intelligent network is connected when it is in demand, and then obeys the prompt instructions, or courtesy, or keeps the speed of the vehicle to pass quickly, always, improves the efficiency of the use of the bus lane, and makes the priority of the social vehicle and the bus not conflict, so as to improve efficiency. ”
In her preliminary research, she also found that Shanghai has invested a lot of manpower and material resources in the research of L4 full autonomous driving, and the technology accumulated in the process may be able to try to apply bus priority in bus lanes. "In fact, such a new technology, including 'vehicle-road coordination' is our country's leading technology, as well as the development of intelligent networking, in fact, it seems that it is pointing to unmanned driving, but the transition technology can also be applied, now it can not be completely unmanned, but it can be assisted, can prompt, which is very good for use in bus lanes. ”
