On Tuesday, Via HFR CEO Martin Imbleau gave an update on the progress of the Quebec City-Toronto Rapid Passenger Rail project during a speech to the Montreal Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.
The line is planned to be built between Quebec City, Trois-Rivières, L**Al, Montreal, Ottawa, Peterborough and Toronto, with a total length of nearly 1,000 kilometers and trains reaching speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour.
