Because the zinc layer of cold-dip galvanized pipe is thin, usually only a few microns to more than ten microns, its corrosion resistance is relatively weak, and it is suitable for occasions with low requirements for anti-corrosion or short-term use of pipeline systems.

In addition to the differences in treatment process, hot-dip galvanized degaussing tubes and cold-dip galvanized tubes also differ in appearance, performance and use.

First of all, from the appearance, the zinc layer of the hot-dip galvanized degaussing tube presents a special blue-white hue, while the zinc layer of the cold-dip galvanized tube shows a dark gray hue. In addition, due to the thicker zinc layer of the hot-dip galvanized demagnetizing tube, its appearance is fuller and more uniform, giving people a thick feeling.

Secondly, in terms of performance, the hot-dip galvanized degaussing tube has a thicker zinc layer and better anti-corrosion performance, so its service life is relatively long. Whereas, cold galvanized pipes have a relatively short service life due to their thinner zinc layer and weak corrosion resistance. In addition, the strength and rigidity of the hot-dip galvanized degaussing tube are also good, and it is suitable for piping systems that bear large pressures and loads.

Finally, from the perspective of use, because the hot-dip galvanized demagnetizing tube has good anti-corrosion performance and bearing capacity, it is widely used in pipeline systems in construction, chemical industry, petroleum, electric power, water treatment and other fields. Cold-dip galvanized pipes are mainly used in indoor or sheltered duct systems, such as household water pipes, heating pipes, etc.
