At 23:58 on July 31, 2015, Zhang Jinfu, former member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China's ** Advisory Committee, died of illness in Beijing at the age of 101. With his passing, the last member of the Central Advisory Committee established at the 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of China also completed his life journey.

In the early days of reform and opening up, the Communist Party of China (CPC) faced a severe problem of veteran cadres. In order to rejuvenate the cadre contingent and successfully complete the replacement of new and old cadres, at the 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, it was decided to set up an advisory committee.

This decision was a historical choice, and it was also intended to solve the problem of the replacement of the old and new leadership bodies at that time. *The Advisory Board is a special body, the establishment of which has initiated a process of replacement and cooperation between old and new cadres.

This system is of great significance in the history of the Communist Party of China. Although it no longer exists, its spirit and philosophy are still worth remembering and inheriting.

As an outstanding leader of China's science and technology and financial front, Zhang Jinfu's death is a great loss to us. But his life, both in his work and in his life, fully reflects his strong faith, noble character and outstanding talents.

His life is undoubtedly a valuable asset of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people.

Zhang Jinfu, formerly known as Zhang Shide, was born in a peasant family in Feidong, Anhui Province. He was a tiger and was named "Tiger Boy" by his grandmother when he was a child. The Zhang family is a big family, the hard-working grandmother often tells stories to little Zhang Jinfu, the lights in the warm hall are weak, and the grandmother's spinning "woo" sound is intertwined with her story, constituting a beautiful childhood memory of little Zhang Jinfu.

However, as time goes by, these warm memories have become a distant past, and now, my grandmother has passed away, and Zhang Jinfu has become the last old comrade to pass away.

Zhang Jinfu has listened to his grandmother tell the story of the celebrity Bao Zheng trial in his hometown since he was a child, among which Wupan, who will complain about grievances, Zhang Beigu, a good man who is willing to complain for the wronged, and Zhao Da, a vicious bad guy, have made him deeply aware that there are many injustices in the world.

While telling stories, my grandmother often taught Zhang Jinfu through the truths in the stories. For example, "if you don't listen to the old man, you will suffer in front of you", "only carelessly suffer and not be careful", "tolerate people, don't hurt others", etc., these teachings have deeply influenced Zhang Jinfu.

In the countryside in the twenties of the last century, life was not rich, and most people relied on the sky for food. In a good year, you can eat two sparse meals, but in a famine year, life is very difficult.

However, despite the difficult times, the grandmother still loved her "tiger cub" very much. During the off-season, the adults of the Zhang family ate porridge with yam or pumpkin every day, but the grandmother would always leave a bowl of white rice for the "tiger boy" when cooking.

Even if the year is not good, the whole family often eats corn with beans and wild vegetables, and my grandmother will try to get a little corn out of the paste and leave it for Zhang Jinfu. Every New Year's Day, the Zhang family buys a little meat, and the grandmother will also leave a piece of it, salted it, and usually put a piece on the head of the rice when cooking, leaving it for the "tiger boy" to eat.

The meat that comes out of this way is very delicious, and the rice underneath also has a meaty aroma and is very delicious. Although one of the sisters-in-law in the family had some opinions on this, since her grandmother was the absolute authority in the family, she could only watch.

The Zhang family would ask someone to help with the farm work when they were busy with the farm, and the grandmother would prepare four or five dishes for the helper each time. A plate of fish and a plate of meat is essential, while the rest is stir-fried, usually dried tofu with leeks, stir-fried or blanched spinach and dried peanuts.

Although my grandmother didn't cook much, she always gave a little to her grandson, Zhang Jinfu, to eat. Zhang Jinfu wrote in his memories that his grandmother's cooking has always been ** him, making him feel that the best dish in the world is made by his grandmother.

In addition to eating, my grandmother also cares about Zhang Jinfu very much. In winter, he will use the only copper foot stove to warm Zhang Jinfu's feet, and in summer, he will fan Zhang Jinfu so that he can sleep peacefully.

Therefore, Zhang Jinfu and his grandmother have a very deep relationship. Once, when my grandmother went to see relatives, Zhang Jinfu got up late and found that my grandmother was not at home, so he began to cry and kept screaming to find his grandmother.

After the grandmother came back, she hugged Zhang Jinfu tightly and promised that she would take Zhang Jinfu with her wherever she went in the future, and Zhang Jinfu stopped crying.

Through more in-depth propaganda and education, more people are encouraged to participate in the war of resistance, provide directions and materials for the army, and even serve as battlefield guides. Thanks to his efforts, more and more people stood by the side of the army and fought together for the future of the country.

As the head of the Shanghai Field Service Corps, Zhang Jinfu shouldered the heavy responsibility of propagandizing and mobilizing the people to resist Japan, and could not go home to visit his seriously ill grandmother. Although his heart was like a knife, he still reluctantly asked his wife to go back to his hometown to visit him instead.

Even though the grandmother was blind, she still felt the presence of her grandson by touching her granddaughter-in-law, and passed away with satisfaction and relief. Hearing the news of his grandmother's death, Zhang Jinfu cried a lot, regretting that he could not see his grandmother again.

However, he believed that his grandmother would understand him because everything he did was to defend his family and country. Remembering the warm time he spent with his grandmother as a child, he couldn't help but shed tears.

Although he was unable to tell his grandmother in person, he wanted her to know that her grandson was working for the country.

Zhang Jinfu's thoughts about his grandmother all his life are like a song around the beam, which always echoes in his heart. On his 80th birthday, he wrote "Grandmother's Love", expressing his deep longing for his grandmother.

He wrote at the end of the article: "I am eighty years old, but I will always be a little child in front of my grandmother. I miss the days when I sat by my grandmother's side and spun yarn with her at night, hoping to meet her in my dreams, and even looking forward to meeting her under the Nine Springs. ”

In 1990, when he returned to his hometown for the last time, lying on the bed in his ancestral house, he dreamed of his grandmother again. The next morning, he wrote a poem: "Thinking about my childhood late at night, the clouds and rain are like silk.

Compassion cares for the years and years, warms my weak body, and nourishes my hunger. After the death of his grandmother, Zhang Jinfu turned his grief into strength and devoted all his energy to the revolutionary cause.

In 1956, he became the secretary of the party group and vice president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and became the assistant to President Guo Moruo, presiding over the daily work of the whole hospital.

After the Soviet Union successfully launched the first artificial earth satellite on October 4, 1957, the first person in charge of science and technology found Zhang Jinfu, Zhu Kezhen, Qian Xuesen, Zhao Jiuzhang and others, and asked the Chinese Academy of Sciences to carry out China's satellite research work.

Zhang Jinfu's life is full of longing for his grandmother, but he also used this longing to turn it into motivation and made great contributions to China's development. His story teaches us that longing is not a negative emotion, but can be transformed into a positive force that drives us forward.

At the end of 1957, Zhang Jinfu coordinated the establishment of the artificial satellite optical observation group and radio observation group of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and set up 12 observation stations in Beijing, Nanjing, Shanghai, Kunming and other places, with the goal of sending China's satellite into space in a few years, codenamed "581 mission".

In May 1958, Zhang Jinfu formulated a three-step plan for China's satellites: the first step is to launch a sounding rocket, the second step is to launch a small satellite, and the third step is to launch a large satellite.

The rocket is dominated by the five academies, and the space probe and satellite and observation work are mainly carried out by the Academy of Sciences, which cooperate with each other. It is planned to strive to launch China's first satellite into space within three years.

In order to realize the planning task, Zhang Jinfu, Qian Xuesen, Zhao Jiuzhang, Wei Yiqing and other experts worked day and night, completed the preliminary design of the carrier rocket structure within two months, and made two models of the head of the sounding rocket, which are equipped with a variety of high-altitude environmental detection instruments and animal cabins.

Satellite technology is cutting-edge, and Zhang Jinfu knows that he is not a scientist, but he knows how to gather and cultivate talent, and actively seek foreign aid. Through his efforts, he deployed 8,000 young demobilized technicians.

After training, these technical soldiers quickly mastered the relevant technology, and even Qian Xuesen praised this group of technical soldiers for their "golden skills". However, these technical soldiers alone are not enough.

Therefore, in 1958, Zhang Jinfu made a bold decision: the Academy of Sciences adopted the policy of "running the whole school and combining the departments" and founded a university focusing on emerging disciplines - the University of Science and Technology of China.

*Zhang Jinfu's plan was quickly approved, but the time was tight and a suitable site could not be found. Zhang Jinfu found Yang Shangkun, and Yang Shangkun helped him find a military property on Yuquan Road in Beijing as the location for the establishment of the school.

The opening of the University of Science and Technology of China made Zhang Jinfu extremely happy to see the young students reporting to Yuquan Road with their bedding. In November 1958, Zhang Jinfu reported to the Sixth Plenary Session of the Eighth Central Committee of the People's Republic of China on the development of artificial satellites and plans, which were approved by the meeting.

With the establishment of various scientific research institutions, China is in a three-year period of economic difficulties, Zhang Jinfu boldly put forward the work policy of "turning thighs into small legs, satellites into soundings", and decided to shift the focus of work to the development of sounding rockets.

Despite the difficulties of malnutrition and swelling of the body, the scientific and technological personnel still worked selflessly, and finally succeeded in concentrating their efforts on the development of sounding rockets, thus accumulating valuable experience in artificial satellite science and technology engineering.

In October 1965, the Chinese Academy of Sciences presided over a demonstration meeting on the overall plan of China's first earth satellite in Beijing. Zhang Jinfu presided over the meeting and pointed out that we have begun to make the final sprint for the "Dongfanghong" satellite to be launched into space.

The ardent expectations of the vast number of scientific and technological personnel for many years have been realized, and China's first artificial earth satellite, Dongfanghong 1, was successfully launched on April 24, 1970, and the personnel involved in the development of the mission were extremely excited.

Zhang Jinfu was also ecstatic about this, he had made outstanding contributions to the country throughout his life, and although he could not accompany his grandmother when he was old, he believed that his grandmother would be proud of his "tiger cub" underground.
