Original text: Tao Chang, do nothing and do nothing. If the prince can keep it, all things will be self-transforming. I want to do it, and I will make it a nameless simplicity. The nameless simplicity will not be desired. If you don't want to be quiet, the world will be self-determined.The Tao Te Ching has a total of 81 chapters, the first 37 chapters are the Tao Ching, and the latter is the Tao Ching.
Today's thirty-seventh chapter is the last chapter of the Tao Sutra.
The Tao is constant, doing nothing and doing nothing.
The Tao is inaction. The so-called inaction means not violating the laws of nature and not interfering with man.
In other words: not doing things according to the natural laws of things is against natural inaction.
Therefore, Lao Tzu advocates conforming to nature and respecting the objective world as it is.
The so-called "do nothing" does not mean saying that nothing is done, but doing it in the right way; As long as you are in the right way, it is not right not to do it.
This sentence is telling us: the rules of the Tao, on the one hand, let us do things without violating the laws of nature; On the other hand, we also have to do things that are in accordance with the laws of nature.
Let's take a simple example. When the baby should be weaned, many parents feel sorry for the child crying and have been dragging it out without weaning the child, which is against the laws of nature.
At the same time, when children should learn to walk, many parents are afraid that their children will fall and do not let their children walk, which is also wrong.
This is what we said earlier, it is wrong to do things against the laws of nature; It is also wrong to know the laws of nature but not to do it.
If the prince can keep it, all things will be self-transforming.
If the Hou Wang can follow the principles of the Tao and rule by doing nothing, all things in the world will develop normally according to their own laws.
"Self-transformation" here refers to the normal development according to its own objective laws.
"Self-transformation" is not one-size-fits-all. For things to develop healthily, they must change according to the laws of nature.
This is like the assessment of a unit, the functions of each department are different, and the assessment standards formulated cannot be one-size-fits-all.
If the sales performance is used to evaluate the logistics department, the logistics department can only falsify and get something that can improve the performance, and finally make a mess in the world.
That's why the five fingers aren't aligned.
I want to do it, and I will make it a nameless simplicity. The nameless simplicity will not be desired.
When greed arises in the process of self-cultivation, I use the simplicity of the Tao to suppress it. After suppressing it with the simplicity of the Tao, there will be no greed.
The desires in the Tao Te Ching are all superfluous desires, that is, greed.
In "Nameless Pu", "nameless" refers to "Dao", and "Pu" describes the simplicity and primitiveness of "Dao". We can also understand it as the original nature of the Tao.
It is impossible for people to be without thoughts.
We often say that we should admonish ourselves, but with what admonishment? It's nameless, or rather:Tell yourself to learn the Word like that, and go with the flow
If you don't want to be quiet, the world will be self-determined.
The meaning of this sentence is that if there is no greed, and without greedy desires, the world will be stable.
It is precisely because of greed that there will be obsessions, and there will be no peace, and everything will no longer be stable.
In this chapter, Lao Tzu is more admonishing rulers and leaders not to be greedy and to let everyone be self-reliant.
For us personally, we must have a tolerant heart.
The so-called strange is not strange, this is actually a kind of realm of cultivators.
All things develop themselves and have their own value for existence.
Being able to tolerate all weird people and weird things is very close to the Tao.
Because they have all achieved "heaven and earth are unkind, and all things are dogs".
