It is understood that there are two track-laying bases in the Yuyi section of the Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway, namely Luzhou track-laying base and Yibin track-laying yard. In view of the difficulties of long-track transportation and the large number of cross-construction units, the Beijing-Kunming High-speed Railway Xikun Company and the China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group have organized the four bidding project departments in front of the Sichuan-Chongqing section of the Chongqing-Kunming High-speed Railway of the Fourth Bureau of China Railway to hold coordination meetings and set up a track-laying construction command and coordination group and dispatching command center to coordinate and manage the construction of the engineering lines of each unit in a unified manner.

In order to ensure the smooth completion of the construction task of the track project, the construction site is equipped with 64 fixed group cranes, 130 railway flat road vehicles, 7 DF4B locomotives, 2 sets of ballastless track laying units, 2 sets of mobile flash welding machines, 2 sets of large road maintenance machinery and other construction machinery. According to the construction plan, after the completion of the long-track track-laying construction, the whole line will be organized to speed up the rail welding, dispersion and ballast repair operations to ensure that the Yuyi section of the Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway will be opened on schedule.

Zhang Hongkun, deputy commander of the Yibin Headquarters of the Beijing-Kunming High-speed Railway Xikun Company, said that the Yuyi section of the Chongqing-Kunming High-speed Railway has entered the sprint stage of track fine-tuning and station construction, and the "four electrics" project has entered the equipment installation and commissioning, and the work is progressing in an orderly manner, and it is expected to be ready for traffic in 2024.

The Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway is an important part of the Beijing-Kunming Corridor, one of the main channels of the national railway, the Yuyi section of the Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway is located in Chongqing and Sichuan Province, with a total length of about 205 kilometers, a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and a total of about 391 kilometers of track-laying projects.
