In 2023, the Chinese film industry, which has gone through recovery, self-construction, and new development, will start the Spring Festival in 2024. This year, in addition to the increasing number of phenomenal films, the topic of "Chinese film industrialization" has also been frequently mentioned by everyone. In the author's opinion, film industrialization is a necessary stage in the development of China's film industry. The proposal of film industrialization means that the film industry, as a tertiary industry, is "asking" experience from the secondary industry.

The film industry began to try to apply industrialized production methods and organizational forms to the production, distribution, dissemination, and operation and management of films. Specifically, the industrialization of film aims to continuously optimize the rational distribution and coordinated operation of production factors among all links of the film industry chain through a scientific and modern production management model, standardized and professional production and distribution methods, scientific and technological innovation capabilities that keep pace with the times, and a stable and high-quality ecological security system.

First of all, the scientific and modern production management model means that it is necessary to rely on scientific project management ideas and methods for the operation and management of film projects, and improve the level of time management, cost management and quality management. For example, through scientific pre-planning, reasonable shooting plans, forward-looking emergency plans, and effective cross-departmental coordination mechanisms, the uncertainty in the entire film production process is minimized to ensure that the film project is delivered on time within a certain cost budget and implementation cycle. For example, the crew of the "Fengshen" series of films planned various details in advance during the filming process, from actor training, scene construction, on-site shooting, and even crew canteen management, to build a relatively complete management system, which effectively improved the management efficiency of the film crew.

Secondly, the standardized and specialized production and distribution method means that the film products have clear job responsibilities, clear work scope, professional industrial division of labor, transparent salary system, standard contract text, and relative unification in all aspects of production, distribution and communication.

1. Facilitate collaborative work forms and software and hardware tools, and gradually form a set of technical standards and management standards, industry rules and market norms that can obtain industry consensus and have enforceability.

Thirdly, with the deep integration of cutting-edge technologies such as cloud computing, big data, and artificial intelligence with all aspects of the film industry, the ability of scientific and technological innovation has empowered the whole process of the film industry from content creation, project decision-making, shooting, post-production, publicity and distribution, etc., providing more possibilities for the continuous exploration of film industrialization. Taking "The Wandering Earth 2" as an example, during the filming process, the film was virtually rehearsed through the application of a virtual production platform that integrates virtual shooting, motion capture, facial capture, and 3D scanning, which improved the professionalism of film production. In addition, the development of information and digital technology has helped the film industry break through the traditional "image" framework, showing a cross-scene, cross-media, and cross-industry integration development trend, and broadening the development boundaries of the film industry.

With the continuous empowerment of film industrialization, the risk of the film industry will continue to decrease, its controllability, predictability and measurability will be significantly improved, and the production efficiency and industrial value of China's film industry will also continue to upgrade. The steady progress of the film industrialization process with Chinese characteristics will continue to help China's film industry achieve a new round of industrial upgrading.
