Beijing, February 27 (Reporter Ma Shuaisha) The reporter learned from the Ministry of Civil Affairs on the 27th that the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions decided to jointly hold the National Civil Affairs Industry Vocational Skills Competition. This competition is the first national-level first-class competition held in the field of civil affairs, and it is also a comprehensive competition with the highest competition specifications, the largest number of competition occupations, the widest number of participants and the greatest influence in the field of civil affairs.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs said that the holding of the National Civil Affairs Industry Vocational Skills Competition is an important measure to promote the high-quality development of civil affairs and an important way to promote the construction of a team of skilled civil affairs talents.

According to reports, since 2008, the Ministry of Civil Affairs has held a total of 11 sessions of the National Civil Affairs Industry Vocational Skills Competition and 1 session of the Elderly Care Vocational Skills Competition, produced 68 "National Technical Experts" and 2 "National May Day Labor Medal" winners, the leading role of high-skilled talents in the field of civil affairs has been initially demonstrated, and the competition has become an important platform for the majority of civil affairs skilled talents to learn skills, exchange experience and improve their abilities.

The competition is divided into two stages: national finals and provincial and below selection competitions. In principle, the provincial and below selection competitions will be organized and completed before the end of March, and the national finals are planned to be held in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province in late May.

The competition sets up 5 competition items, including elderly care workers, cremators, cemetery administrators, prosthetic fitters, and orthotic fitters, all of which are single-person competitions, and the content of the competition is based on the knowledge and skill requirements of senior workers and above of the national vocational skill standards for five occupations such as elderly care workers. The competition requires that participants must be in-service employees who have been engaged in related occupations for at least 2 years.

There will be 5 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 8 third prizes and several winning prizes in each category of the national finals of the competition. After being approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the first prize contestants can be awarded the title of "National Technical Expert", and the first, second and third prize contestants can be promoted to professional skill levels according to regulations.
