Li Taoxiong was born in Chenzhou, Hunan Province, to hard-working, rustic farmers whose way of life was "working at sunrise and resting at sunset". Li Taoxiong's cousin is a soldier of the People's Liberation Army, Li Taoxiong has been influenced by his cousin since he was a child, and he likes the army very much. Every time his cousin returned home, he would tell him some of his experiences on the battlefield and the achievements of the soldiers, and everything on the battlefield deeply attracted Li Taoxiong.
He still clearly remembers that his cousin once said to him that the people's army is to endure hardships, not to be afraid of pain, not to be afraid of death, not to be afraid of the enemy's spirit and courage to dare to look directly at death. Li Taoxiong, who aspired to a military career, enlisted in the army in 1981 and became a soldier in the first brigade of the Guangxi Independent Division. He worked hard in cultivation and was very enterprising, and had high requirements for himself, and soon became a member of the Third Company.
Later, because of his excellent work, he was promoted to the fifth squad of the third company and the second platoon of the first battalion of the first division of Guangxi and became the squad leader. When the Sino-Vietnamese war broke out, the Maoshan area was led by the division led by him. In that year, he and the Yunnan border guards attacked Yinshan and Laoshan. Although as the captain of the sharp knife squad, he is also a person who is used to seeing life and death, but this matter is also a little difficult for him. Not working, Li Taoxiong did not relax at all. After making all the pre-war preparations, he took his people and killed Maoshan Mountain. On the road to Maoshan Mountain, there is a dense bush. In order to prevent others from approaching, the enemy laid a large number of mines, and even they did not dare to set foot in this area, but Li Taoxiong did it. They cleared mines all the way and walked all the way to their destination. Unfortunately, however, one member of the team was killed in a mine. However, at this moment, a cannonball suddenly exploded next to Li Taoxiong, and after a loud bang, Li Taoxiong fell in a pool of blood. When the smoke cleared, the enemy knew that their defeat was assured, and they fled in a hurry after taking revenge.
Li Taoxiong's companions rushed him to the hospital, but his body had been scarred by bullets, his flesh was blurred, and none of them were intact. Li Taoxiong was rushed to the hospital for first aid, and after seven hours of hard work by the doctors, a doctor walked out of the operating room and announced with tears in his eyes: "Comrade Li Taoxiong has been confirmed dead." ”

After 78 days of deep sleep, Li Taoxiong finally woke up. And the first thing he said when he woke up was to ask: "Are we still on the battlefield, are we victorious"? These words brought tears to the eyes of everyone present. Then the leader happily told him: "We have won, the motherland has won"! Everyone in the ward laughed.
However, at this time, there were still more than 120 fragments of shells remaining in his body. This made Li Taoxiong's every movement painful, and even more than 20 fragments pierced his heart, so if you want to remove these shrapnel, you can't use *** agent. If you can't anesthetize, you can't anesthetize, Li Taoxiong made up his mind, he still thought that he must go to the battlefield again, and he must not die, he endured the severe pain, and explained the location of each bullet clearly.
