Arrive in London and start City Walk modeLondon, the capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, is a world-leading world-class city that influences the world in politics, economy, culture, education, science and technology, finance, etc., and is a model of globalization.

As soon as we arrived in London, the fatigue of the long-distance flight had not faded, and we turned into "special forces" to measure this strange and familiar international metropolis with our own steps.

In this visit to London, we invited two professional teachers to accompany the students throughout the whole process and visit London in depth. One is Mr. Tom, who graduated with a master's degree in anthropology, and he is a senior lecturer in anthropology and culture, as well as a senior lecturer and trainer in London. Another lecturer is Director Zhao from the British Museum, who is not only a master of management, but also the president of the British Museums Association, a professional lecturer and trainer of the British Museum!

On the first day, the students visited Westminster Abbey under the guidance of the teachers and had a preliminary experience of Gothic architecture. Walk past Big Ben, the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, and across the River Thames. Across the entire city of London, familiar names from books began to come to life.

Citywalk moments

Under the guidance of the tour guide, the students were in the park in central London, watching the swans, feeding the pigeons, and having a close encounter with the little squirrels. With the hurried municipal streets on one side and the relaxing scenery of life on the other, everyone is at this moment integrated with London life and felt the local cultural atmosphere.

Students who felt the authentic life in London happily shared what they saw and heard with their families and friends. The words and insights from the heart, and the ** taken by hand, are all their gains in the UK, recording their instant happiness and making everything eternal.

Meet the British Museum and experience democracy and technology in Derby

After a day of citywalking, the students walked into the famous British Museum, where the treasures of the world's ancient civilizations still shine brightly, even though the afterglow of the empire has long since fallen.

The British Museum is the oldest and largest comprehensive museum in the world, located in London, England. It houses many cultural relics and book treasures from all over the world, and the richness and variety of the collection are rare in museums around the world.

Visit to the British Museum

It is worth mentioning that for this visit to the British Museum, we carefully invited the museum's blue card interpreter. Under the guidance of the Blue Label teacher, the students not only visited the British Museum in depth, but also learned about the stories behind many cultural relics. The teacher explained the history of Greece, Egypt, architecture and mythology, and used historical relics as clues to describe in detail the historical development of China's Xia Shang Zhou to modern times. The students also saw with their own eyes the "small jade pot that escaped from the British Museum" in the fire at station B. Get up close and personal with the world's cultural relics

In addition to the famous British Museum, students also went to another special place - Derby, located on the banks of the River Derwent in the middle of England, and Derby is famous for its Rolls-Royce. It was a pioneer city in the British aviation industry and rail technology, as well as a cradle for engineers.

Derby Manufacturing Museum

In the Derby Manufacturing Museum, I saw the engine of the first transatlantic aircraft, the ancient textile machinery, the handmade motorcycle hundreds of years ago, and saw every solid footprint of human progress.

After visiting the Made in Derby Museum, the students made their way to the Derby City Hall. Children experience first-hand the rights and responsibilities of British citizens. In Derby, every decision made by the municipality needs to be voted on. This time, all the students did a full-fledged simulation. Everyone simulated the voting process of the first councillors and discussed the city's development policy together. Not only that, the members of the small press corps interviewed the municipal staff, and the political leader of the city hall sent good greetings and best wishes to our students at the end.
