How to switch the screen with the Win P extension function

In the Windows operating system,win + pShortcuts are used to quickly switch between different display modes, especially if you're connected to an external monitor or projector. Presswin + p, a side menu will pop up, providing the following display modes to choose from:

Computer screen only(PC Screen Only): All displays are only displayed on the main computer screen, and the external monitor does not display anything.

Copy(duplicate): An external monitor or projector replicates the content on the main computer screen, and both screens display the same content.

Extensions(extend): The desktop extends to an external monitor or projector, each of which can display different content, increasing the workspace.

Second screen only(second screen only): All displays are only on the connected external monitor or projector, and the main computer screen does not display anything.

To passwin + pThe shortcut key switches the display mode, which can be operated by following the steps below:

Press at the same timeWindows keyP keyto pop up the display mode selection menu.

You can use the up and down arrow keys to select different display modes.

After selecting the display mode you want, you can press it directlyenterbutton to confirm, or click on the mode you want.

For users who want to expand their workspace, the "Extended" mode is a good option, as it allows you to drag windows and applications to the external display so that the main display and external display form a larger workspace.

Please note that this feature requires your hardware support, and if the connected display device or your graphics card does not support certain modes, they may be grayed out and cannot be selected.
