Foxconn is worried about being cheated by an Indian consortium

According to India** reports, the Indian group Tata Group has contacted Pegatron Technology and expressed its willingness to produce iPhones with Pegatron Technology, but this move has made many foundries that set up factories in India feel threatened, after all, they were under the banner of "union" before they annexed Weida.

When Wistron set up a factory in India in 2020, Wistron was so ambitious at that time that it even sold 80,000 workers in China to Luxshare, which shows how confident Wistron is in India, but what happened next made Wistron regret it.

After two years of development, Wistron has reached 10,000 employees in India, compared to its factories in China, India can only be regarded as a small factory, but even so, Flextron is miserable, Indian workers have been forced to close their production lines for various reasons, and even by India's Tata Group.

India** has been hyping, saying that Tata Group wants to join forces with Wistron to enter the OEM industry, and foreign ** also boasted that they could help them expand their production base in India, but Wistron found that they did not acquire Wistron's production base in India at a low cost in 2022 as they imagined.

Soon, Wistron announced all its production in India, obviously unwilling to sell the production line in India, but in desperation, they could only sell the production base in India, and then completely lost confidence in India, and directly closed all the production bases in India, and in 2022, they are only allowed to produce 1% of the product, that is, they have completely disappeared from this world.

Now India's big groups are said to have contacted Pegatron Group, in the name of cooperation, and euphemistically said that they bought Wistron's factory, because they did not have enough production technology, so they wanted to cooperate with Pegatron, and then contacted Apple, wanting to get the foundry fee for the iPhone, which is simply a great thing.

However, Tata Motors has played the banner of India's largest OEM company, coupled with the local power of the Indian group, it is estimated that the final goal of Tata Motors is to acquire Pegatron Technology, because Flextron has come to this point, but Pegatron Group also has foundries in China, so Pegatron Group is ready, but Flextron does not have this opportunity.

In this case, the three OEMs that have annexed three factories in India, as well as Foxconn, India's largest iPhone foundry, have already smelled a strong smell of blood. In fact, after the Wistron acquisition, Foxconn has quietly slowed down its investment in India, first by abandoning a new chip factory with Vidanta, and then by reducing the number of employees in India from 70,000 to 50,000.

The reason why India is called a "paradise for foreign investment" is because India has been treating foreign companies in an unconventional way, starting from 2022, India has continued to suppress China's mobile ** companies, and more than 1,700 foreign companies in India have been canceled, which also makes India a paradise for foreign investment.

Foxconn did not dare to invest in India, and was still boasting about building a factory in India, "Meiya", so far there has been no actual action, but Micron, at the end of last year, in order to better communicate with China, and export chips to China, more than a dozen American semiconductor companies recently announced that they would invest eight billion dollars in Vietnam, which is completely different from their previous praise for India, it is obvious that American companies are also very wary of the reputation of foreign investors.
