Original poem

Death of Shiratori

Wen Xi Murong.

If you are the tearful shooter.

I'm that one.

A white bird determined not to dodge anymore.

Just wait for the arrow to break through the air.

Shoot into my already shattered bosom.

If you are the only one in this world.

The only shooter who can hurt me.

I am all your youth.

All the joys and sorrows that cannot be forgotten.

It's like the last cloud.

Hidden in the infinite blue sky.

Then let me die at your hands.

It's like finally can.

Die in your arms.

January 1, 1983).

Appreciation

Xi Murong is a well-known Taiwanese female poet, and "The Death of the White Bird" can be said to be her masterpiece. The theme of love has been sung by poets throughout the ages, and if there is no shocking pen power, it is difficult to form a shock that knocks on the bone and the marrow! Let's start with the first section:

If you are the tearful shooter, I am the white bird who is determined not to dodge anymore." "The shooter is in tears" and "the white bird no longer dodges" are very common sense, and the author gives them a strong personification from the beginning. Here, there is a pretended pause in the middle of "I am the one", delaying the tone, which is intended to be sad, and the word "white" in "white bird" is not nonsense, implying purity and loyalty. In love, don't care who is right and wrong, if you are willing to hurt and attack, I should face it calmly. Just because I, like you, am a captive of love, I have no choice.

Verse 2, "Just wait for that arrow to break through the air and shoot into my already broken bosom If you are the only archer in this world who can hurt me, I am all your youth, all the joys and sorrows that cannot be forgotten." Cupid's arrow has been sent, and I am willing to be hurt physically and mentally, and wounded to be wounded. In this world, if you are my only love, I am your world, all your youth, joy and sorrow. Here, "unique" uses the most authentic rhetoric to emphasize uniqueness.

Verse 3, "As if the last cloud was hidden in the infinite blue sky, then let me die at your hands as if I could finally die in your arms." In the end, the author is still unsatisfied, and let the "white bird" be the last cloud, floating in the arms of his lover like a hidden sky. The poetic space is further expanded, making the image of the "white bird" more distinct and prominent, and greatly strengthening the rendering of the theme. The author's unswerving determination and courage to annotate his loved ones is shocking to read.

Summary: As a poet, painter, and essayist, Xi Murong has his own unique thinking angle and insight. Her poems are strange and sparse, delicate and gentle, rigid and soft, elegant and dignified.

This poem makes good use of the figure of speech of contradiction, that is, through seemingly contradictory and illogical phenomena, it deduces, advances and profoundly reveals the theme, which has a charm that is different from ordinary feelings. It has both the soft side of Li Shangyin's "Untitled" and the strong side of the ancient poem "The Evil One", showing a state of emotional writing that combines rigidity and softness, and is free to be retracted.

When love ignites a raging fire, we will not be unscathed, escaping will only bring greater losses, only fearless, brave face, in order to live forever with love. That's the essence of this poem.
