Cui is a very cheerful student who knows what he wants.
Cui is a very cheerful student, with a very direct and interesting personality, very easy to get along with, and she is also very emotionally full and has a lot of expression.
Cui. Professionally, she knows what she wants, and after a period of study in Meixing, the final output is indeed what she wants.
In fact, my teaching method is constantly adjusted according to Cui's own actual situation, and the final portfolio presented is also very good.
In view of Cui's personal situation, I mainly plan my teaching from the following
First of all, the basic course, the writing practice of the script, shooting and editing. In the process, myIn fact, the teaching method is constantly adjusting the content and planning according to the actual situation of the students themselves. Plans can't keep up with change, the only constant is change! Therefore, the most important idea of my main teaching policy during this period was to "adapt to changes and make appropriate adjustments." ”
Teacher Yu and Cui's class photo.
Thirdly, we did a lot of research to make the idea landing, stabilize the "development of the C position", and at the same time won the victory with rhythmic "assistance", and the final portfolio presented is also very good.
Almost all the problems that may be encountered in the production process of the portfolio have been encountered, but they have also been solved, which is inseparable from our serious and sincere attitude and obsession.
For example, when the script could not be developed in the early stage, our screenwriter lasted for five months, found a venue in the middle of the period for a month, and after filming in the later stage, Cui went out to play, came back sick and was bedridden for a month, and finally edited and graded the time and became more and more crazyWe've had almost every problem we might have!
But, we've all worked it out too! Maybe it's because we're serious and sincere, and we have an obsession with making what we want to do and becoming the person we want to be! (ha).
The work is being filmed.
There were also some very interesting things happened on the way, such as looking for a venue, because we originally expected the hotel to be the feeling of the urban-rural junction, we went to the urban village in Beijing together, there is an urban village that is particularly interesting, the name of each store is the name of the person plus the name of the store, such as Zhang San Malatang, Li Si Hardware Zhang Qiang Supermarket, they all look like they all know, and the people on the road are greeting each otherIt was as if we had walked into someone else's house, and at that moment we felt like we were in a scripted situationGaining weight was the biggest gain of that month.
Cui's daily class**: No matter how tired you are, you can't be accompanied by food.
In the future, I hope that Cui can become the person he wants to be and open up a world of his own!
I hope that Cui will become the person he wants to be, and I sincerely congratulate Cui on opening up a world of his own with wisdom, talent, courage and hard work. May my parting message be an umbrella that can shelter you from the scorching sun and wind and rain on your journey.
Cui x Xiaomei
After I decided to continue studying abroad as a graduate student before the start of my undergraduate graduation project, I chose Meixing to help me apply for graduate school.
Xiaomei: How did you start a relationship with Meixing?
Cui.
I graduated in March 2021, and I was planning my graduate study direction before the start of my graduation project, I was still in Sydney at the time, and I didn't have any friends with the same major in China who chose to study abroad.
A collection of Cui's works.
Xiaomei: Why did you choose this major?
Cui: I like to watch ** and movies since I was a child, and I also like to write my own stories, so I chose the choreography and directing art examination in my third year of high school, and got the certificates of Beijing Normal University and Communication University of China. After going abroad, he still chose the direction of media. I believe that love is the greatest motivation to persevere, and to strive to find solutions to any difficulties encountered in creation and practice, there is never more than one path.
Cui. My portfolio film is a story of "fairy jumping", which mainly expresses the lives and fates of women on the margins of society.
Xiaomei: Tell us about your portfolio
Cui: The film in my portfolio is a story of "fairy jumping", which mainly expresses the life and fate of women on the margins of society.
A collection of Cui's works.
My area of passion and expertise is minority groups (LGBTQ+ community, Asian teenagers, people with mental illness, etc.), and this story revolves around a guest house in an urban village, telling the story of a heroine who has been in the fairy jumping business for a long time, tired of the status quo, and becomes interested in another "strange" female tenant after meeting her, and finally decides to change her life with her help.

In addition, I really like the band Gojo, the story in their songs is very similar to what I want to say, and the style of this short film is very influenced by "Dream Lisa Hair Salon" and the pseudo-movie trailer "The Poet Next Door".
When facing difficulties, the most important thing is not to be affected by negative emotions and make works that meet your level.
Xiaomei: What is the biggest challenge you have faced in the process of learning?
Cui: It's very difficult at any time hahaha, from writing scripts, recruiting actors, finding venues, shooting, post-production, there is nothing that is not difficult, the most important thing is to adjust your mentality, the ability is there, communicate with others more, revise more, take the initiative to find problems, don't be affected by negative emotions, and make works that meet your own level is the most important.
Shooting of Cui's portfolio.
Xiaomei: Learning and Harvesting in Meixing.
Cui. The biggest gain is Teacher Yu!Haha, she is really a great teacher and friend, and she is also very responsible, and her teaching method is different from the "free-range" and "self-exploration" in my undergraduate school, combined with her previous experience in leading students, for me it is to avoid detours and maximize the quality of my work. It doesn't matter if it's a consultant, a student or a clerical teacher, all of them care about me, so I'm lucky too.
Teacher YuThe most important thing is to be clear about what you really want, what you want to learn, what you get, and be able to stick to it!
Xiaomei: Some suggestions for juniors and juniors
Cui: You should prepare in advance, take the initiative to understand the school in a timely manner, and communicate with teachers more. The most important thing is to be clear about what you really want, what you want to learn, and what you want to get. The journey of making a portfolio is very difficult, and it is necessary to constantly research, revise, improve, and coordinate with multiple parties, which will produce too much self-doubt, firm belief and love, in order to persevere.
A collection of Cui's works.
Xiaomei: What are your thoughts on the future?
Cui: For me, the artistic atmosphere in the place where I study abroad is very important, and although the semester of graduate school is short, I hope to make good use of my time in school, and also seize the opportunities outside the school, learn more from my supervisors, and participate in various film festivals. I hope that after graduation, I can have the opportunity to participate in film project production in London, so as to better improve my personal ability and accumulate experience, so that I can have the opportunity to make the work I really want to do and love.
