If the Xinhai Revolution had not had Xiong Bingkun, there would probably be no existence, and China's history would have been rewritten. Mr. Sun Yat-sen pointed out in the "Founding Strategy" that Xiong Bingkun fired the first shot in the Wuchang Uprising.

The Communist Party was a revolutionary organization determined to overthrow Manchu rule in 1911. They planned to launch an armed uprising in Wuhan, Hubei Province, on October 6, but the defeat or death of the leaders gave Xiong Bingkun an opportunity.
Between September 24, the date of the decision to decide on the uprising, and October 6, the date of the uprising, the time was very tight and the preparations were not sufficient, so the command decided to postpone the uprising until October 16.

At the critical juncture when the Hubei New Army was about to revolt, platoon commander Tao Qisheng found a soldier surnamed Jin who was preparing for an uprising and ordered someone to arrest him. However, Cheng Zhengying, a revolutionary, decisively shot and killed Tao Qisheng, and killed Huang Kunrong, Zhang Wentao and other officers who came to suppress him, and gunfire suddenly broke out in the eighth battalion.
