The new flow sensor KEP works according to the calorimetry principle. Therefore, no additional temperature and pressure compensation is required.
In contrast to the previously used bridge circuits, the newly developed evaluation electronics digitally record all measured values. This allows very precise and fast measurements over a wide temperature range of up to 110°C. The measurement span is 1....1000 and thus able to measure at very low and very high flow rates of up to 224 ms.
KEP has an integrated modbus output as standard that can transmit all parameters such as nm h, nm, nm s, nl min, nl s, kg h, kg min, ft min, °c, etc. All parameters can be adjusted directly on the instrument (via display) or via the repair software. Of course, there are also 1 x 4....A 20 mA analog output can be used for flow, as well as a galvanically isolated pulse output for total consumption.
Remote diagnostics can be carried out via MODBUS, and all relevant parameters can be checked and changed if necessary. As a result, it is possible to change the gas type, inner diameter, fouling, etc., or the zero point. Leakage flow suppression in the presence of changing process conditions.
This can be determined by remote diagnostics and status updates, such as high temperatures, sensor failures or calibration dates.
