However, he was still unwilling, and accepted King Ning's recruitment, wanting to get ahead, but he didn't want to go into danger by mistake, and finally escaped by pretending to be crazy and stupid, and his reputation has been discredited since then. In the end, a lifetime of wandering and depression ended. Xunzi said: "Although the desire cannot be exhausted, it can be close to the end; Although you can't go, you can ask for it. ”Moderate desire gives motivation, and excessive greed destroys. Know how to see your own desires, control them in a timely manner, not be greedy for pleasure, not love the reputation of no merit, and do not seek wealth for no reason. You can prune your troubles and live freely.

And Zhao Cheng offended many people, so he could only live on the streets, was beaten and insulted, and was frozen to death in a harsh winter. As the saying goes, "A man is self-aware." ”The most valuable thing for people is to be able to put themselves in the right position, and when they follow the trend, they do not bully others; When you are in a high place, do not belittle others. No matter how things change in the world, always be sincere and righteous, and you will be able to be brave and auspicious. I remember Guiguzi said: "Therefore, the beginning of knowledge is self-knowledge, and then it knows people." Meaning: A person can only recognize others if he sees himself clearly.
