Now 92-year-old Sui Huanhua still cherishes the memories of his former comrades-in-arms. He once helped the Eighth Route Army in the village to transmit intelligence, and with grenades in hand, he worked with the villagers to avoid devils and enter the village to practice the "three lights".
At the age of 15, he officially enlisted in the army, and successively participated in the Huaihai Campaign, the Battle of Crossing the River and the Battle of Qingji, and won two third-class merits. In the small study, he looked through the old photo albums, and his thoughts returned to that period of fire, and he saw a prosperous and powerful China for his 15 comrades-in-arms.
