Is Li Bai's martial arts great? In the 30,000 miles of Chang'an, as soon as this Li Bai appeared, he looked like a swordsman. In the "New Tang Dynasty Book", it is also recorded that in addition to writing poems, Li Bai also has a big hobby, that is, he likes vertical and horizontal arts and fencing.
So what is Li Bai's martial arts? Li Bai was the son of a merchant after a sinner, so he could not take the imperial examination. Although he has always wanted to be an official, in order to comfort himself, he positions himself as a philanthropic ranger. At the age of 15, Li Bai began to practice martial arts, hoping that he could dominate the martial arts.
In Li Bai's poems, there are often verses describing his own martial arts and superb swordsmanship. Among the nearly 1,000 poems by Li Bai included in "All Tang Poems", the frequency of the sword appeared more than 100 times. "Laugh at a glass of wine and kill people in the city" in "The Journey of the Visiting Youth". There is also "Supporting the body in the white blade, killing in the red dust" in "Gift to Brother Xiangyang Shaofu Hao". That sounds too awesome.
But if you think about it carefully, this was the peace of the world at that time, and the law of the Tang Dynasty was quite severe for the punishment of fighting and killing on the street. If Li Bai dared to be so public, I'm afraid this head would have been unable to keep it a long time ago. So this is comparable to the exaggerated combat effectiveness in martial arts, could it be his exaggerated writing?
As for the widely rumored Li Bai who studied under Pei Min, one of the three uniques of the Tang Dynasty, it is inferred from the record of "Hanlin Scholar Li Cemetery". Pei Min's background is not small, he is the number one swordsman in the Tang Dynasty, a great general, and a good swordsman. If Pei Min really accepted Li Bai as a **, then Li Bai's martial arts should not be too bad. Otherwise, if you go out in the future, you will lose not only Li Bai's own face, but also Pei Min's face. But after all, this matter is doubtful, so it can't be explained that Li Bai's martial arts and swordsmanship are high.
However, Li Bai did have an apprentice, not to learn poetry from him, but to learn swords from him. Li Bai also wrote a poem called "Seventeen Martial Arts". In his preface, it is mentioned that his protégé Wu Ge is a simple hero.
In Li Bai's later years, his son was trapped in the army of ten thousand in Shandong, and Wu Ge also deliberately ran over to repay the favor and volunteered to pick up Li Bai's son back. For this reason, Li Bai also specially made poems as gifts. Looking at it this way, since Li Bai can open the door to teach apprentices, then his martial arts and swordsmanship should be good.
In addition, Li Bai traveled all over half of the Tang Dynasty when he was young, and the ancient literati traveled, although they were not like the troubled times and were full of bandits. But it is not uncommon to encounter a strongman robbing the road on the road. Therefore, this ancient literati traveled in groups, or they were all skilled in their own kung fu. And Li Bai must belong to a bit of real kung fu, otherwise he would have been robbed of so many silver taels on his body.
In addition, when Li Bai left Shuzhong to tour the world, he once had a partner named Wu Guide, and the two of them walked together to fight for righteousness. When he traveled to Hunan, this Wu guide suddenly fell seriously ill and passed away. Li Bai was very sad, it happened that at this time there was a tiger attacking, Li Bai saw this tiger gnawing on the body of his friend, so he used the sword in his hand to force the tiger back. This is comparable to Wu Song, then Wu Song is still drunk and courageous, Li Bai dares to fight the tiger directly, which can be regarded as extraordinary courage. Looking at it this way, Li Bai will have kung fu, and his martial arts are not mediocre. But to say that he is a peerless master is almost meaningless.
