New e-bike brand Forest has unveiled its first product, the Summit Series, an electric mountain bike with a mid-drive motor and large tires that can be ridden on a variety of terrains.
The Forest Summit Series is available in three variants: hardtail (ST), walk-in (HT) and full suspension (FS). The frame is made of 6061 aluminium and powered by a 750-watt Bafang M620 Ultra mid-drive motor, with a peak power of 1,500 watts and a torque of 160 Nm.
Equipped with a 10-speed Shimano Deore shifting system and a 4-inch Bafang gauge, it can be connected to the Go mobile app for even more functions and settings.
The battery has a capacity of 1,000 Wh and a minimum auxiliary stage of 72 km. Adding an extra battery to the frame can also extend the ride. The Forest Summit Series has a top speed of 45 km/h and is available in 3 types of e-bike modes. Of course, the thumb throttle is also indispensable to provide extra power when needed.
It uses large tires, 26-inch wheels and 45-inch wide Kenda Juggernaut Sport tires for good grip and comfort. Equipped with Tektro Orion 745 four-piston disc brakes for safe braking. The maximum load capacity is 136 kg.
Prices start at $2,499 for the Forest Summit Series.
