The "Silk Road Porcelain Tour" special exhibition exhibits a total of 45 representative Jingdezhen ceramic art works, showing the continuity, innovation, unity, inclusiveness and peace of Chinese civilization through five themes. The exhibition uses the language of ceramics to promote people-to-people ties and build a bridge of cultural and friendship between China and Belgium. The special exhibition will close on March 13.
Wu Gang, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Belgium, who attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition, said in his speech that ceramics, as a treasure of Chinese culture, have been exported overseas through the land and maritime Silk Road in history, and have become a cultural carrier and symbol for the world to understand China. Cui Suxiang, deputy mayor of Jingdezhen City, said in his speech that Jingdezhen will actively integrate into the "Belt and Road" initiative and inherit ceramic culture. It is expected that through this exhibition, the exchanges between Brussels and Jingdezhen, two famous cultural cities, will be deepened and people-to-people ties will be promoted.
The 2024 Chinese Cultural Center in Brussels** will feature a joint performance by artists from Belgium, China, Spain and Kazakhstan, and the audience will celebrate the Year of the Dragon with a mix of Chinese and Western music. (ENDS).
